Dmitriy from Diamond Exterior Renovations took the time to explain a better long-term solution and recommended switching to vinyl siding instead. Since this wall faces the weather side of the house and gets extremely hot in the summer, Dmitriy also suggested adding a layer of foil-backed insulation before installing the new siding. The results have been incredible?the wall stays noticeably cooler, and the overall look and durability are far better than what we originally planned. "New Gen Exteriors did such a great job on my house! I only needed one side of my house siding replaced and they made it look better than the rest of my house and to match. They fixed holes and gaps that were there from the original siding and sealed everything. All of the wires were placed back in the original positions. I had many other quotes from businesses and they were the easiest and by far the best to deal with. Everything was wonderful! I would highly recommend!"

They have not yet contacted me regarding the work to be done. As I am preparing to go on a vacation and will not return until the middle of next week, I'm in no hurry. If I haven't heard from them by the end of next week (May 29), I will contact them the following week.

I had paid the $1,000 advance by Visa through Angie's List, since Best Exteriors only accepts Pay Pal. Angie's sent them a check, but Best Exteriors said they didn't know what it was for, so it took two months to get an agreement signed. It seems to me that they could have called Angie's to ask what it was for. If I received a check for that much and didn't know why, I'd be on the phone right away to find out. I paid it in March. The job was done in July.

The crew of two men showed up on time and did a great job installing the windows. The problems started after the windows were in. The re-installed my two window air conditioners, but left large gaps around them where wind and water could get in.

 They fixed one of them before they left, but I had to call the office to get the other one done. It was fixed a week later, but then Alex called me and said it was not part of their job to put the A/C back in, and the customer should make the arrangements for that. Well, alright, but he didn't tell me that when he came out to make the arrangements for the work to be done. It would have been a deal breaker for me, as I am elderly and not strong enough to do that. He said they had "gone above and beyond" by putting the A/C back in for me, but I don't think it's too much to expect them to put things back as they were when they started the job. Certainly they should have told me if it wasn't part of the agreement.
