"I recently had a water filter installed by Northbound and I couldnâ t be happier with the service. As an independent local businessman with 20 years of experience in the plumbing industry, he brought a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the job. His pricing was very reasonable, and I never felt overcharged. The quality of work was top-notch, and everything was completed on time, just as he promised. I feel truly fortunate to have found him and would recommend his services to anyone. Unlike dealing with large corporations, working with Northbound was a personalized experience. He was prompt, responsive, and thoroughly attentive to all my needs. I highly recommend Northbound for anyone looking for a reliable and skilled plumber. You wonâ t be disappointed!"

"We had a great experience with Rock Solid Drains. Coltin and Clavey were both exceptionally knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. I don't want to have to call a plumber again, but if I do, I know it will be Rock Solid Drains."

Small jobs welcome

Your plumbing problem becomes our problem to solve.\n\nThat’s not just a tagline, it’s how we operate. When you call GOFLOW, you’re getting a team that knows this area, knows plumbing, and genuinely cares about doing the job right.\n\nWe’re not a franchise. We’re not a call center routing you to whoever’s available. We’re a local company built by plumbers who got tired of watching customers get treated like transactions instead of people.

"I would highly recommend Ray’s Rescue Plumbing. He was very clean, prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. We had several issues ranging from leaks, repairs and installing a tankless water heater. Ray’s prices were competitive and he actually saved us a few thousand dollars from a previous bid from a ‘not so honest’ plumber."

"Elsy ( I believe she was the plumber from your company via Angi) arrived as scheduled, on Saturday, 09/28/2024. She attempted to repair my garbage disposal unit but was unable to do so as the unit's wiring was worn out. I advised the unit is 40 yrs old. She recommended to purchase a new one. We made a trip together to the local Home Depot store and I purchased the same brand s she recommended. She installed it in record time (within the 2.5 hrs) and completed the job. She also cleaned the work space and carried the old one to my recycling bin. Very satisfied with her work. Also, I want to know if I will receive a billing statement for my records? Thank you for your time & assistance."

"Funny story, filled out this questionnaire on Angi to figure out how much installing a gas line would cost. Little did I know I was going to find a knowledgeable and trustworthy plumber out of this inquiry! After taking with a few from Angi, I decided to proceed with Marty for a few reasons but most important was his honest and transparent communication. Iâ m not knowledgeable in this space and rely heavily on people like Marty to help me make the right decision. He is quick to provide information, quotes, and get the job done! Saving his number for all my future plumbing needs! Thanks Marty for being who you are and making me realize there are still good honest people in this world!"

"Elias TJ and Matt arrived when planned and got right to work. Friendly, answered all my questions. New shower surround and tub ready to use by 7:00 pm. Was very pleased with their work and the Jacuzzi plumber called in to change water inlet piping from cast iron to a new piping. Really appreciated the fact they were proficient and did not bash other companies . Please change wording from demolition to reconstruction. Demolition connotes blowing things up."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Yes, shower water goes into the septic tank. Shower water is a type of greywater, and in fact, all water used in a home with a septic system—including water from sinks, toilets, the dishwasher, and the washing machine—drains into the tank. When shower water enters the tank, debris like soap and hair travels with it. The solid debris sinks to the bottom to become sludge, while soap residue joins the scum layer at the top. The remaining water is treated in the tank before moving to the drain field for further treatment and dispersal. It is important to avoid putting oil or harsh chemicals down any drain, as they can cause clogs or disrupt the beneficial bacteria required for proper wastewater management in the septic system.

If you notice smells or clogs, you’ll know something’s wrong with your shower drain P-trap or the plumbing. Most of the time, smells and clogs are due to a clogged P-trap. However, in some instances, you may smell sewage. If this happens, open your windows and contact a plumber to help. They can do a plumbing inspection and let you know if anything needs to be repaired or replaced. Common culprits are a dry drain, cracks in the plumbing, or a clogged vent.

When positioning a pot filler, it should be mounted at a height that allows for convenient access without obstructing the cooking area. A general guideline is to place it 18 to 24 inches above the stove. For a more customized height, measure your most-used pots and install the filler 5 to 10 inches above your tallest one. Regarding horizontal placement, while centering the pot filler can be aesthetically pleasing and ensure it reaches all burners, it is often safer to install it to the left or right of the cooking surface. This placement helps you avoid reaching over a hot stove and reduces the risk of the filler itself getting hot from a large boiling pot. If you do choose to center it, be careful to avoid burns.

Yes, flushing a clogged toilet can make it overflow. While flushing the toilet may push enough pressure through the system to dislodge the clog, this is unlikely. Your best bet is to use a plunger and hope the suction can break up whatever is blocking the pipe. If this doesn’t work, use a plumbing auger or call a pro to help.

Yes, it is safe to turn off the main water valve. As long as you don’t force the shut-off valve and break it, you can’t damage the water supply pipes by shutting off the water. We wouldn’t recommend shutting it off regularly without a good reason. However, when you need to know what to do in a plumbing emergency, shutting off the water main is a safe way to reduce water damage inside your home.
