Matt is a professional. I like to try out a contractor with a small job rather than risking a big job on someone I don't know. As I called around to get multiple quotes, I definitely felt like some professional electricians thought my job was too small to respond quickly, and other small-time electricians who did respond quickly made me doubt whether they would do things to code/by the book.
