"Daniel Razo did an excellent job. Had a flood in the unit. He replaced drywall, texturized, and painted. Daniel is professsional, good pricing, plus on time, and works efficiently. We have several units and would use him again and also highly recommend him. Margaret Foltyn, La Jolla,, CA"

"I wish I would have had hired them a long time ago! I bought wallpaper a year ago but hoped we could do it ourselves. It was a difficult type of wallpaper so we avoided it. I stumbled upon Anna s company and she was fantastic! Her price was great and she did an amazing job. She was very professional and the wallpapering is flawless. The room looks so beautiful and polished now. Thank you Anna!!"

"We decided to hire Diaz Painting after meeting with Rene for the estimate. He was prompt and courteous, and took the time to thoroughly review the job and discuss the details. I also liked that his definition of “two coats of paint” matched mine, in that he paints once and lets it dry before painting again, unlike my previous painter. I also liked that Rene works the job with his crew, which gave me confidence the job would be done correctly. Diaz Painting was prompt, courteous, and friendly. They went around the house and prepped the job by hand, repairing problem areas to ensure a good paint job. My previous painter's crew just pressure washed the eaves and started painting. After painting my house eaves with two coats of paint, they went back around the entire house and meticulously touched up the job by hand, and thoroughly cleaned up before leaving. The job was completed on time and for the agreed cost. They even painted some trim on the house we hadn’t discussed at no additional cost. Diaz Painting is a great company and I highly recommend them."

"They used rollers to paint the cabinets. This leaves them with a very rough feel and they look like painted cabinets which my husband could of done. Apparently if I would of selected the semi gloss coating the feel of the cabinets would of been smooth as a result when I need to wipe them down it is very difficult. Plus it would of preserved them longer. The point of the rough cabinet exterior was not mentioned at the time of discussing what we wanted. I am so unhappy with the outcome. They did come out to see what they could do about our dissatisfaction. We were told that for another $1000 they could put the semi gloss coating on. My husband asked if that was the best they could do. We have not heard back from them."

"I had Jesus come back to do some more work for us, as he has proved himself to be reliable, helpful and does excellent work.  He always has a good team working with him, they're clean, tidy  and honest workers and get the job done well.

The walls and cabinetry all look wonderful, in fact everything  Jesus and his team has done in our home has always looked good!

They are very pleasant to work with, and  I have no hesitation in recommending them."

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

Having dated, peeling, or otherwise damaged wallpaper can decrease the value of your property, so removing that before listing your house is nearly always a good idea; however, since wallpaper tends to be a personal style choice, potential buyers may or may not love your aesthetic as much as you do.

Love the look of wallpaper but want to consider property value as well? Stick with something that is easy to change. If you are thinking of selling soon, make sure your wallpaper hanging is on-point and looks professional with no crooked seams, evenly matched patterns, and minimal bubbling or other imperfections.

When comparing peel-and-stick and traditional wallpaper, the better choice depends on your specific needs and space. Peel-and-stick wallpaper is more budget-friendly and easier to DIY install. On the other hand, traditional wallpaper lasts much longer and holds up better in a wider variety of spaces, including areas with moisture like kitchens and bathrooms.

Yes, peel-and-stick wallpaper is available that’s made from vinyl—it actually is the most common material used in peel-and-stick wallpaper. Learning how to install vinyl wallpaper is far easier when you’re using a peel-and-stick design than with adhesive. You could also select peel-and-stick wallpaper that consists of paper, polyester, or natural fibers.

Wallpaper lasts an average of around 15 years, but there is some variance. The type of wallpaper matters, as vinyl wallpaper tends to last the longest—sometimes 20 years or more—while a peel-and-stick wallpaper, which is the easiest to install for DIYers, will usually only last for around five years. Exposure to high humidity, smoke, and UV rays from sunlight can also limit the lifespan of your wallpaper, as can heavy traffic in the installation area.

Yes, you can apply peel-and-stick wallpaper over wood paneling, but it requires significant preparation for a good result. Peel-and-stick wallpaper has a weaker adhesive than traditional wallpaper and works best on smooth, non-textured surfaces like painted or primed drywall. Because wood paneling is often textured with grooves, any flaws in the underlying surface will likely be visible after application. To prepare the paneling, you must ensure the surface is free of cracks, holes, and protrusions by filling any indentations and sanding rough spots to create a smooth surface. An alternative is to remove the paneling and apply the wallpaper directly to the underlying drywall or plaster, provided it is in good condition.
