"I worked with Alpha once before, and they assisted with a second project 2 years ago which, now finally completed, I'm able to write a review about. Alpha helped with structural plans for windows in a garden level unit in order to prepare the proposal for city approval. He came out to my house to talk about scope, but seemed distracted and left without getting the full job scope from me. After a week without receiving the estimate, I checked in with him and he gave me a reason for the delay that was understandable.
A month after, I checked in with him again. He wanted to come out to my house a second time. I responded by sending a document detailing the work we wanted to complete, and told him to let me know if he still felt it was necessary to come out a second time. It's a month later now with no response. We went with a different contractor.
One thing to Mark's credit, he seems knowledgeable and has good contacts in the industry. We might consider him in the future for less critical work, but I was pretty disappointed that he didn't seem to take me seriously as a potential client.
