"What do you do when the gas company turns off your gas due to a leak? You would want a licensed plumbing company that is: quick to respond, has a free estimate, comes out on a Saturday, knowledgeable, on-time, efficient, quality work, courteous, and above all else,...integrity. Jason and his team at J I G Plumbing are all that! We were given an initial estimate, but as the trenching started, he informed us that the repair would not be as extensive as previously thought. He re-calculated the cost, saving us considerable money. Jason and his team patiently answered all our questions and informed us of their progress. Jason also provided photos of damaged areas and the finished repair. The repair was completed professionally and efficiently, and the gas company came to inspect/turn the gas on the same day. We are happy to have J I G Plumbing as our "go-to" for all our plumbing needs in the future!"

"Guardian Plumbing repaired our high water pressure issue by replacing valve, flushed our tankless water heater, and fixed shower head leak. The repair cost was reasonable and the plumber was professional, courteous and did a good job with no issues. I will call them again for my next plumbing related service."

"Andrew was our plumber and also the owner of Service Flow Plumbing. He is everything you want in a professional tradesmen. He was polite, prompt, respectful of my home, thorough, very efficient, and was very generous with his time answering all my questions and showing me how to fix my next faucet handle. His rates are reasonable especially when you consider the level of attention he gives to your problem. I'm telling my family and friends about him & his company because service like his is unfortunately too rare."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

To make plumbing projects safer in Corona, use anti-scald valves and childproof shut-offs, especially in bathrooms and kitchens. Choose lead-free pipes and fittings, particularly in older homes. Keep work areas securely closed off to prevent pets from entering, and seal any wall or floor openings to block pests. Good ventilation is important during repairs, especially in the hot CA climate, to maintain healthy indoor air quality.

Helpful?

In Corona, plumbing maintenance should include regular descaling of pipes and water softener upkeep to combat hard water. Inspect for leaks monthly, check for mineral buildup in fixtures quarterly, and schedule a professional inspection of your water heater and sewer lines annually. Protect outdoor pipes during rare cold snaps, maintain irrigation systems for drought efficiency, and ensure backflow prevention devices are tested as required by local regulations.

Helpful?

In Corona, schedule plumbing projects if you notice rusty or discolored water, frequent drain clogs, increased water bills, or visible pipe corrosion. Homes built in the 1980s or 1990s may need repiping due to aging materials. Plan major work for cooler months to avoid heat-related delays, and allow extra time for permit reviews or HOA approvals, especially for exterior plumbing or irrigation system upgrades.

Helpful?

In Corona, pipe material selection is crucial due to hard water, which can accelerate pipe corrosion if the wrong materials are used. Gas line connections require extra care because of local seismic safety standards. Water heater installation must include proper venting and earthquake strapping. Skipping permits or backflow prevention for irrigation can lead to compliance issues, so always follow local plumbing codes and use approved materials.

Helpful?

In Corona, plumbing work can influence other systems, especially if your home has shared utility walls or electrical outlets near plumbing lines. If you have radiant floor heating, foundation drainage, or smart water monitoring, changes to plumbing may impact these interconnected systems. Always check for signs like fluctuating water pressure or nearby electrical components before starting, and consider how upgrades might affect your home’s overall infrastructure.
