"Working with Nathan & KN Remodeling was the best decision we made when undertaking our garage conversion job. Nathan understood exactly what we wanted, knew our budget parameters and provided us with a range of options that helped us stay within what we were seeking to spend. We wanted it to be NICE, but didn't need to over-do any of the finishes and spend needlessly on areas that were going to be used in-frequently. The end result was fantastic. The workmanship was of the highest order, the job was executed efficiently and with constant communication and oversight. The whole job was stress free and delivered on time. I can't recommend KN Remodeling highly enough!"

"We did a whole kitchen remodel. David was very knowledgeable and recommended a wall removal which completely changed the look of our kitchen and opened it up. Everyone that worked on the kitchen was very professional and they stuck to their schedule. They were pretty quick getting us back in our kitchen and it turned our beautiful. I absolutely love my kitchen and I am so happy I chose CA Cabinets."

"CHR completely remodeled our old 1950's kitchen. Even though it is a small kitchen, it was a complex job, due to the layout change, sub-floor and window replacement, as well as extending one of the walls. Kris, the project manager, did an excellent job coordinating the work as well as helping out with design features. The job was completed timely (despite city inspection delays) and without issues. We're over the moon with our new kitchen and happy to have selected CHR for the job."

"Miguel and Angel did an awesome job on my bathtub. They were on time and prepared the area very quickly and were very efficient. They were very careful with my hardwood floors and they were particular with making sure everything was covered before starting the job. I would highly recommend them for any future jobs. "I feel so insanely lucky to have come across such a talented and caring remodeling and construction group - they were referred to me and I would happily refer them to anyone else. I donâ t know if I can fully convey how smoothly my whole house remodel project went but I will sure try! The Experience: I immediately noticed that Welcome Renovation prioritizes your experience. For example - excellent project management and communication. I am incredibly busy with work and they made the whole process SO easy working around my schedule and sending pictures when I wasnâ t able to drop by in person. I felt 100% confident with the design choices they made and was happy with all of the options (these were all carefully down-selected so there werenâ t an overwhelming number of choices). I can count at least 4 - probably more if I really thought about it - ways they actually spent more money on their end to make things look better or improve functionality, without increasing the price to me. They went and fixed a number of items that had been screwed up by a previous construction group at extremely fair price additions in a seamless addition to the contract. Every single worker was friendly and courteous, and I felt safe and trusted them in my home both when I was there and when they were alone. They reached out after project completion and asked for constructive feedback - while I did not have any complaints, I had a few minor suggestions all of which they addressed and took actions on both for me and for improving for future projects. I canâ t think of anyone else in the industry who goes above and beyond like that. Aesthetics: All of the designs are absolutely gorgeous. From the textures and colors, to the fixtures, and the impeccable tile work; you can bet your place is going to look *spectacular* when they are finished. The pictures on their website donâ t do them justice - there is a â wowâ factor that cannot be conveyed in 2D. Example: long shower inlet for soaps and shampoos - spans almost the whole length of the shower and has beautiful, large and perfectly symmetric tiles in the inset. Kitchen backsplash tile work is pristine - you couldnâ t find an error if you had a magnifying glass. Functionality: Everything was designed around making my day-to-day life easier - a few examples (not an exhaustive list by any measure): Putting the shower handle to the other side of the shower entrance so I could turn it on and not get wet waiting for the water to warm up Changing to a pocket door with custom pop-out handle (much more difficult and costly) to open up the entrance to my tiny bathroom Maximizing cabinet space in my small kitchen to utilize all the corner spaces, putting in a spice drawer right next to the stove. Pricing: The pricing was slightly higher than other groups I got bids from, but seeing the end result I am (1) enjoying the sh!t out of the space on a daily basis and (2) confident there will be a return on investment later down the road if/when I sell the home. I am very, very happy with the end product and feel like my money was well spent - no regrets."

"I was a little nervous and excited when starting the process for my kitchen remodeling project. Luckily after several inquires to many companies, I found the right fit. Amir was very attentive and provided great communication through the process. He would visit my home and make sure everything was running accordingly. My kitchen now looks great and very detailed. I can’t wait to host my next gathering with friends and show off my new kitchen."

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel questions, answered by experts

The average cost to convert a tub to a shower is around $3,000, but prices can range from $1,000 to as high as $15,000. A more typical range is between $1,200 and $8,000. The final cost depends on several factors, including the amount of plumbing work required, the size of the shower, and the type of materials and fixtures chosen. A prefabricated shower stall is a more budget-friendly option, while a custom shower with features like luxury tiles, unique tiling, smart technology, or accessibility features will be at the higher end of the cost spectrum.

You can gut and remodel one room at a time. Though the project will take longer overall, there are a few benefits. First, it limits disruptions and allows homeowners to maintain access to a portion of their home while it’s under construction. It also helps homeowners manage their budgets. Not everyone is ready to remodel the whole house at once, and it may be more feasible to slowly upgrade your home over time.

Home renovation is often less expensive during a recession. Contractors may be willing to give you a deal on labor costs because they’re looking for more work during slow economic times. However, waiting to do a necessary home remodeling project while trying to predict the ebbs and flows of the national economy is overthinking the timing of the project. It’s easier to focus on determining when is the best time of the year to remodel.

You can add a bathroom almost anywhere in a house, but location, space, and existing plumbing and electrical setups are major factors that impact price. Running plumbing and electrical to your new bathroom can become costly, so think strategically about where to add them. You’ll need a big enough space with plenty of ventilation and outlets to accommodate the bathroom you’re envisioning.

Renovating a house can take on many forms. The time it takes to perform home renovations will depend primarily on the scope of the project, management skills, and luck. Minor projects, such as painting or upgrading appliances, can take as little as a few days. Installing a major addition can take over a year if outside factors complicate the process.
