"It went well, there were two employees who figured out a way to get it done. I consulted with two other companies and they wanted to replace the entire sink and repipe. Superior figured out a way to get it done without having to do construction or replace the sink for now."

"

I called Larry on Friday afternoon and left the message regarding our plumbing issue and asked if he could possibly come by on Monday. He called me first thing Monday morning and scheduled a 4-6 pm window. He called when he was on his way and was here before 6.  He cleared the line within 30 minutes.

What nice young man! Pleasant and professional.  I would highly recommend Clearwater Plumbing to everyone!

"Anthony was awesome. He was early. He was fast. He didn't try to get over on me and charge me for anything that I didn't need. I would hire this company again, and probably will when I change out some other sinks. Great experience."

"EDI renovated our house in Mill Valley around February. They remodeled our kitchen, opened some walls that helped improve the amount of light coming in to the kitchen and to have more open spaces. They built a bathroom and a restroom in our existing house, replaced two windows and replaced the floors. There was a bit more work around. The experience with EDI was very positive for us and we are happy to recommend these guys to anyone who is looking for a good contractor."

"Three men were sent to get everything cleaned up in a day. They also arranged for the plumber to go and make the pipe repair the next morning so that my tenants were not inconvenienced for more than one day. They did a very good job cleaning and sanitizing the area."

"When we purchased the house, it was a 30 year old home. Almost everybody in the period of five years to seven years wanted to convert to copper plumbing. So what they offered at that time was anyone you referred to if they chose to use their service, you have $500 cash payment which was really nice because half of our neighbors and our family members used them. I do not know what they do now, but it is a really nice service because they are a very good company. They did a great job."

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, it is often possible to replace an undermount sink without removing the countertop, but success can depend on the countertop material. For materials like granite, the process is relatively straightforward. However, laminate or uniquely shaped countertops might need to be removed or modified.

The process typically involves shutting off the water supply, disconnecting the drain and plumbing pipes, cutting through the old silicone seal, and carefully lowering the sink from below. This requires a good understanding of plumbing and the right tools. If you are not confident in performing the replacement yourself, it is recommended to hire a countertop specialist or a plumber to handle the task.

DIY is not recommended for commercial settings due to safety and code compliance. Hire licensed professionals.

Yes, there are different size sink drains, but a 1 ½-inch-diameter drain is the most common modern drain size. However, some sink drains are 2 inches or 3 inches in diameter. A bathroom sink drain is 1 ¼ inches in diameter, and kitchen sink drainpipes are 1 ½ inches in diameter.

Yes, a dripping faucet can increase your water bill. Leaking faucets use up more water than you’d think. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, a faucet that drips once per second can waste more than 3,000 gallons of water per year. If you have more than one dripping faucet, your water bill can increase even further.

Silicone caulk—despite having some adhesive properties—is not the primary thing that holds your sink in place. Rather, it seals the gaps around the sink to prevent water from leaking and causing issues with mold and corrosion. Most sinks are secured by clips, though some sinks are secured with two-part epoxy or brackets.
