Rivera's Handyman Service-Unlicensed Contractor

I started having problems with my sink overflowing and suspected a clogged pipe, so I turned to Angi to find a contractor, as I ve always had good experiences with them. Rivera s Handyman Service texted me soon after, and I requested help unclogging the pipe. Two men, including Lalo Rivera, arrived, cleaned the pipes, and on their own initiative insisted that I replace the old plastic sink pipes with new metal ones. I agreed, and during a two- to three-hour visit they purchased and "installed" the new pipes. They visibly appeared fine at the time, I didn't check further since I trust Angi's recommendations, but a week ago I noticed leakage; upon investigation and as shown in a video I discovered that the pipes were never actually connected. I believe that leaving the pipes disconnected was a deliberate act. Rivera charged $400 for unclog and $350 to "replace" the pipes. I sent $750 via Zelle to Lalo Rivera
