Customers say: True professional

"We feel very lucky to have found Francisco. He was incredibly helpful with our initial call and while quoting for us, personable, knowledgeable, and beyond patient with our many questions (even though it was all after hours). His price was the best one of the 4 that we had quote and yet there was nothing "budget" about the project or his service. A quality water heater and a job very well done. He has the years of experience needed to do great work. In addition, he has excellent communication (keeping us updated and informed) and is punctual and professional. Really, everything you hope for when seeking out a plumber or any contractor. We have zero complaints and only praise, very affordable, and have already shared his contact info with family members because we are just that enthusiastic. Sure, they may not need plumbing NOW, but they will some day. Two thumbs WAY up."

"My plumber?s name is Robert. He didn?t just do a good job but an excellent job. Why I said this. It?s already hard waking up in the morning. When all of a sudden you don?t have hot water. Called them and within the time frame he gave over the phone he was there on the dot. Gave me a reasonable price and replace my water heater. Excellent job."

"The guys who came out were friendly, helpful, explained everything. They also worked with me to find the most economic way to produce the results I needed. While they did a VERY professional job, the cost was well below other estimates because the others included much more extensiveâ and potentially unnecessaryâ work. As a result, I TRUST Kenneth Asire Plumbing. And that is one of most valuable things any business can offer...and any customer can have! Keneth Asire Plumbing is now my go-to plumbers without a doubt...and I will recommend them to ALL my friends!"

"SplashFix did a great job with our tankless water heater installation. From the first contact through project close-out, Isaac was professional, thorough, and easy to work with. Scheduling, communication, and project collaboration were easy thanks to the tech platform that SplashFix uses. I highly recommend them for your plumbing needs."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

A faulty fill valve is the likely source of noise in your pipes after flushing a toilet. The valve is what’s responsible for bringing in the additional water needed when you flush a toilet. If this valve malfunctions, then it causes a sudden change in water pressure, which results in noises in the pipes.

You’ll have to look around the house to find different sources of a hidden leak. Check for water under the sinks in the kitchen, bathrooms, and utility rooms. Look at your bathtubs, showers, and toilets, including inside the toilet tanks. Puddles can form around your water heater, so take a good look around it. Inspect appliances like your washer, dishwasher, and refrigerator as well. Look for stains on the walls and ceilings, and listen for drips and running water.

Turn on the water to each faucet and check the area for water trickling out from anyplace but the spout. Next, shut off the water and see if there’s any residue which could indicate a worn down rubber seal. If you find any water, you can replace the rubber seal or have a plumber do it for you.

A shower cartridge is a component located inside the shower valve. While the terms are sometimes used interchangeably, they are two different parts. The shower valve is the entire device that regulates the flow and temperature of water in your shower. The cartridge is the inner part of the valve that connects to the shower controls, allowing you to adjust the water's temperature and flow by balancing the mix of hot and cold water. While the signs of a failing valve and cartridge can be similar, if you are experiencing issues with water temperature, you may need to replace the entire valve.

In the warmer months, it’s fine to leave your garden hose attached to your spigot. However, before the first frost of the year, make sure to disconnect your hose from your outdoor faucet and drain any leftover water inside. Otherwise, water could freeze in the hose and potentially burst inside your faucet or pipes.
