After 3 quotes, we felt most confident in Harry. He installed a shutoff valve for us, and now neighbors and us are not dependent on each other’s water. He then isolated and replaced the damaged pipes. He was able to do this without further damage to the house. He came in less than verbal quote and never tried to upsell, which was an issue with one of the other companies. We are very happy with Harry’s work, would highly recommend him."

ABS pipes are made from a chemical called bisphenol (BPA) that may cause neurological and hormonal effects. There are many possibilities for why your shower’s water pressure is low. It might be a simple-to-fix issue like the water valves being partially turned off, a dirty showerhead or hose, leaks in the plumbing, or an old showerhead. However, low water pressure in the shower could also indicate a larger issue with your home’s plumbing system.

If you go to turn it counterclockwise and it won’t turn anymore, it’s open. Like most other valves, you should be able to turn a radiator valve counterclockwise (to the left) to open it and clockwise (right) to close it. To close a radiator valve, turn it clockwise until you meet some resistance and can’t turn anymore, but do so carefully to avoid breaking the valve.
