"quickly needed help for baseboard & interior wall patching/painting during a full house reflooring project. George and team were responsive, reliable and courteous. They sorted work flow with other contractors to our advantage. Excellent work with attention to detail. I highly recommend George and his team of professionals."

"Our house looks beautiful -- both outside and in -- because Brannick & Associates have painted every square inch of it. Patrick's team first painted our interior after a renovation a few years ago and we were so impressed with the quality & professionalism of their work that we've had them return for two additional jobs: a steep exterior stairway and most recently, the house's exterior. Their attention to detail and overall craftsmanship are why Brannick & Associates are our go-to painters. Highly recommend."

"TM did an awesome job painting all the interior walls of our home. They painted 8 rooms and 2 bathrooms in two days which exceeded our expectations. Their work quality is excellent and they moved and protected our furniture and floors to prevent any paint damage. Also did a thorough clean up after the painting was completed. We highly recommended them."

"There was a lot of prep work to do in the shower room. Blistered paint was removed and the areas were re-textured. It came out looking new. I will use them again when I can finish painting the whole interior of my house."

"Luis and his crew did an amazing job painting out 100+year old house. They spent a lot of time prepping the wood siding and stucco which resulted in a finished project that looks amazing and will last for years. They were prompt, a pleasure to work with, and left the job site clean every day. We plan on hiring Luis to paint the interior of our house next year. I highly recommend Lobato Painting."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

WD-40 is an effective way to remove glue and other sticky residue from many surfaces, including wood. Spray the WD-40 on the area, allow the product to sit for a few minutes, then carefully wipe away the residue. As with other adhesive removal methods, test the WD-40 on an inconspicuous spot first to ensure it won’t damage the finish.

Most spray paints are oil-based, meaning you will need a solvent to dissolve them, like paint thinner, lacquer thinner, or acetone. While solvents can be useful in removing paint, they are also very flammable and require the use of a respirator. Beyond that, these products may smear paint and cannot be used on all surfaces.

Yes, vinegar can remove polyurethane from wood, but it is a slow, inefficient, and inconsistent restoration method. Whatever your intention, it’s best to avoid using vinegar on wood with a polyurethane finish—though it can be an effective cleaner for other wood finishes.

The best way to remove lead paint is by wet hand sanding and removing all dust and residue with a HEPA vacuum. Professionals may also strip and scrape lead-based paint with a paint scraper. In some cases, you may choose to have a pro encapsulate or enclose your lead-based paint surface by covering it with a sealant or a new material. You may also choose to replace the material altogether.

Paint removal is a time-consuming job that can take anywhere from an hour for small surfaces, like a single stair banister, to multiple days for larger projects, like removing paint from wood siding. Expect to spend between five and 20 minutes per square foot. You can use chemical paint strippers to speed up the process, but be sure you use proper protective gear and take care to pick a product that’s suited for your material.
