"The tile work was absolutely beautiful; their other work, not so much. They took off and replaced baseboards as promised, but did an awful job -- baseboards no longer fit snugly against the wall, and are gouged in places beyond a simple paint touch-up. They cracked my granite counter-top, and left scratches in my dining room table. Although I love the tile, I cannot recommend Tile Pros because of the damage done to the baseboards, counter-top, and table."

"Mr. Rosas came in and did some drywall work in my stair well. The previous company left bubbles and soggy finishing. Rosas came in and repaired their work. He also Did some work in the living room and blended everything in spectacularly. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. As far as I am concerned this is a five star company."

"I am very pleased with the work that was done on my home. Palm construction took on two renovations projects at my house. Other companies weren’t willing to entertain the simultaneous projects. They were even able to start ahead of schedule. My bathroom fixtures were moved around to function better, give me more space, and the space was fully renovated. I am in love with the tile work that they did. In my kitchen they were able to change the layout, to give me the open concept I wanted. I was able to switch from electric to a gas range and the cabinetry that was installed is beautiful/high quality. The entire process was virtually stress free with the communications and updates I was given. All the timelines were met and exceeded. I would highly recommend Palm construction for any home project."

"I am so happy with the re-grout work done. My grout was missing from much of my marble tile bathtub area. It was looking black and mildew covered. Now it looks clean and pretty. What a difference!"

Granite Restoration questions, answered by experts

You generally cannot change the color of the natural stone, such as making granite countertops darker or lighter. Some people claim that certain chemicals will lighten or darken granite, but those will damage the stone and not provide uniform, expected results, so it’s better not to try. Similarly, some people ask whether they can stain over granite. Granite is beloved for its stain-resistant finish, so you probably won’t get the best outcome if you try to stain over granite to make it darker.

Instead, consider honing, painting, or applying another material over the top of the granite to make it appear darker.

How long it takes to complete stone restoration work will vary from home to home and project to project. Overall, a professional can complete a one-room project in one to two days. When vetting your local contractors, be sure to ask them how long they think the project will take to factor in any that could speed up or prolong the completion of the project.

You can’t change the color of the stone, but you can update granite countertops without replacing them by painting them. Because granite is a porous material, you’ll want to seal them first before painting them so that the paint doesn’t hurt the surface. This is important because you don’t want to devalue your counters by damaging the original surface; even if you don’t like the color now, you or a new homeowner may want to remove the paint someday and return them to their original color. You can also cover them with

Yes, you can repair a stone countertop yourself for minor issues like small chips or scratches, and DIY repair kits are available for this purpose. However, for larger problems such as major cracks or significant stains, DIY repairs may not be effective. In these cases, professional services are recommended to ensure a seamless finish, prevent further damage, and use the proper materials and techniques for a full restoration.

Stone restoration and polishing enhance the beauty and longevity of stone surfaces by repairing damage and restoring their original shine and functionality.
