Marco impressed me with his professionalism and ability to do the entire job, not just the granite. Jose arrived on time and worked very **** ** the demo the first day, leaving the room very clean, the outlet moved, and replacing the furniture. After 3 days of work in the shop, Jose and Marco installed the granite and mantel exactly as requested. They went above and beyond by painting the wall to cover the drywall work, painting the inside of the fireplace black. Our new fireplace is beautiful! The leftover granite was used to make an outdoor tabletop with dropped edges, perfect to cover our old metal fire pit as an outdoor coffee table.

Three appointments, he was 15-20 minutes late every appointment. He was on time for the Installation. He used white caulking for the seam between the wall and granite in the dining room, very unprofessional. I am not an expert but, in the past I have seen grout in the seam. There was a 1/4"-1/2" jagged granite cut. He explained this to be usual and customary for a cut between wall and granite. I had to select a back splash tile much thicker than what I wanted to cover the wide space. The patio where the granite cuts were made was left a big mess. I have used Angie's list a few times in the past and was satisfied with the professionals I selected. Rocktops came with 5+ "A" reviews. I am not sure I can trust Angie's List in the future.

Bianco was the most professional, responsive, and punctual contractor I've ever dealt with. Within an hour of sending an inquiry email, he called to talk about the project. He was in my kitchen just a few hours later to take measurements and give an estimate. He was very patient with me, answering all my questions and explaining his process step by step. The extra detail he provided gave me the confidence that he and his team would do a good job.
Another bonus is that he passed his contractor pricing on to us - we shopped for and bought the slabs and tiles, then paid much less than retail for the items. He then arranged for everything once the purchase was complete.
His workers were thorough and punctual - I was never waiting - again, a first with a contractor for me. They made sure I was satisfied with the job through each step before leaving and did a pretty good job cleaning up after themselves. (I have young twins, so I went over the kitchen with a fine toothed comb to make sure nothing ended up in their mouths - I did find a few pieces here and there)
All in all I was thrilled with the outcome and would not hesitate to recommend Bianco and San Diego Rocktops to anyone.

The project went very well from beginning to end.  While it took several months for us to find the slabs of granite we both liked  (it took two slabs), from that point on it went fairly quickly. It didn't take long - a matter of days to one week- for the granite to be fabricated. After that, the crews showed up promptly for each step of the process - demo, installation, backsplash (the plumber was a separate contractor)- and did great jobs.  Bianco was extremely helpful at the slab yard where his design construct was placed on various parts of each slab to determine where the slabs were to be cut.  He has an excellent "eye" for design, flow, appropriate cuts, etc.  He also helped us with design ideas for the backsplash product and what faucet color would fit in with the slab and backsplash choices.  We chose sea (or surf) green slabs from Daltile and limestone subway-style backsplash material from Arizona Tile.  We wholeheartedly recommend Bianco Oliveira and San Diego Rocktops for your kitchen (or other ) project.

I had purchased a new home that had a existing Giallo Santo Granite island countertop with sink and a Giallo Santo counter with top set cooktop . I wanted to extend the island out into a T-Island shape using the same Giallo Santo granite to keep costs down. Bianco Oliveria - San Diego Rocktops recommended I demo the existing granite island because the granite was going to butt up to each other and would not match. In addition, my home had a top set cooktop which I wanted to replace with a professional slide in cooktop so the existing granite had to be cut to resize to accept the new slide in cooktop. Bianco explained the process and informed me of the process and cost. He recommended several granite companies and the approximate cost of the slabs. I paid for the slabs separately from the installation costs. Installation/fabrication/demo costs were around $2600.00. Bianco and his company are very professional and performed all items as agreed. My T-Island is beautiful and I have received many compliments and my new slide in cooktop fits as if it were installed from the start. After all services were performed Bianco called to ensure everything was performed to my satisfaction. He is very professional and I would use them again in the future.

We were referred Bianco at San Diego Rocktops when we met with a cabinetmaker to stain our cabinets. Thank goodness for that referral because Bianco and his team were amazing! When Bianco came to discuss what we wanted to do, we were unsure if we should have the granite installed before or after we stained the cabinets, and he informed us that granite should be done prior to staining. He gave us names of a few granite places he works with regularly for us to check out. We went to the business that was the closest, and they had an amazing selection and staff to match (Brazilian Exotic Granite in San Marcos). We picked out the granite slabs (Bianco said we would need 2), paid for them, and let Bianco know they were ready to be picked up (per his request). He didn't charge for pickup of the slabs, which was really nice. His demo team came in to get rid of our tile countertop, backsplash, and old range and sink. They cleaned up after themselves well and then they installed plywood countertops until the granite was cut and placed. The granite was to be installed and completed within one day, but the granite install team arrived a few hours after the window Bianco gave us (which was a pain for my husband, who took the day off to be at home) and let us know that because they arrived late (they said they were overbooked), the installation would take two days. I learned the hard way to double the time any contractor says something will take - because I have a five-month-old, I had to keep him out of the house for half of the first day due to the noise level of the saw that cuts the granite. San Diego Rocktops still gets an A in my book because when they had to cut the hole for the cooktop, they hustled and I only had to be out of the house with my son for an hour. While Bianco did say they could install our new range, when the day came Bianco said his insurance company wouldn't let him do it (so we had to get a handyman to install it). Bianco let me know that because we chose a super-porous light-colored granite (that would have been nice to know we would have to be anal about keeping it clean, Brazilian Exotic Granite!), we'd have to be really on top of re-sealing the granite every month, or we could purchase from them a high-quality sealant that would last 20 years (for $200). He insisted he wasn't trying to upsell us and it was our decision, but with a baby I knew I wouldn't be re-sealing the countertop anytime soon! Even after the terrible fires, Bianco himself came to put on the sealant, and he was still evacuated from his home! Talk about amazing customer service. We still have half a container of the sealant left. He also removed and disposed of our old hood, which was really great. Would recommend him to anyone, and if we re-do our master bath, he will be the first guy we call!

After contacting Bianco, he came out to our home right away and did an estimate. He was very honest and professional. We set a date for the project to begin, and he showed up early that day. He took out all the white tile and replaced the countertops with wood. Everything was cleaned up when he left. A week later, the granite was put in the kitchen and bathroom. A few days later the backsplash was put in and sealed. His work is beautiful! My husband and I are thrilled with the results. It was a pleasure working with such a professional that we could trust and knowing that he would provide us with beautiful results. We hope to use his services again in the future.
