"This business was top notch. Fixed a problem with our solar hot water controls that stumped another company. They were good with communication setting up the appointments, and sent a skilled pair of technicians who completed the job and explained what they were doing along the way. Fair price for the work they performed, and they made sure to test it before they left to make sure it worked."

"The service rep was very nice and explained everything to me in detail, including how the part functions with the rest of the heating and cooling system and why it was necessary to replace it.  I really appreciated his professionalism.

"They were fine. Our heater sucks. The guy explained a lot of stuff. He let us know about the warranty. He was very helpful. Everything was working well. There no big issues. We just wanted him to check it before we turned it back on. I was happy with him. He was a nice guy."

"We pay yearly but we have this is included with our rental property. They are pretty good on most things. We had a hot water heater replaced and they did an excellent job on that. They are very quick on their response. They dont come out here. It is all done on the internet.  I just like the idea that one time service charge is so much better than trying to hiring someone to come in. It is more about convenience. It pays for itself."

Water Heaters questions, answered by experts

Depending on the brand of water heater, you may need to install an expansion tank in order to meet the conditions for warranty coverage. It’s important for consumers to read the fine print of the warranty to see if an expansion tank is necessary. Even if an expansion tank isn’t required for the warranty, it’s usually mandated by building codes—although not for tankless water heaters.

Every city and state will have its own set of installation codes and laws. Some won’t require you to obtain a permit before replacing your water heater, though we recommend you do, regardless of the local codes. On the other hand, some cities and states might require secondary permits for plumbing and electrical work related to the installation. Check with a local water heater installation company and local building codes to confirm which permits are required and what the specific laws are.

Examples include gas stoves, ovens, and water heaters. Confirm with your provider for specific items.

Most hot water heater manufacturers recommend replacing the anode rod about once every three to five years. Anode rods sacrifice themselves by collecting iron, limestone, and other minerals that would otherwise corrode your hot water heater tank. This abuse wears them out long before your water heater does. Check the rod when you remove it and replace it if more than 50% of the metal has been consumed. Check the rod more frequently if you have hard water or use a water softener.

If you are having trouble determining the right breaker size for your water heater, it is a great idea to contact an electrician near you to help. They can help you determine the best option for your home and install the circuit breaker for you, ensuring that you have all the proper permits and that your circuit breaker won’t overload, which could lead to fire and other damage.
