"They arrived with a full crew and within 5 hours our entire was painted - everything is perfect and we love it. The crew was polite and professional and showed us everything that was done before they asked for payment. I would 100% recommend them to anyone thinking about having their house painted and roof sealed. Thank you S & H Contracting LLC!!!"
"He is doing a great job matching my current dry wall and blending it in. We will still need to paint it, but that should be easy. I am very pleased with the work and clean up as well. I would definitely rehire Premium Drywall for future projects."

"From beginning to end, and everything in between, was excellent with 5 Star Painting. We had picked a paint color that would not go with our doors. 5 star and their painting crew, Mike M, worked with us to find the right color. We could not be more happy with house. 5 star brought life to our home. We will definitely be using them again for any and all of our painting needs."

"The quality of the work done was excellent! We did have a couple of communication issues that delayed work a few days, but once those were cleared up, everyone was really responsive. They got the full restucco of our house done in 1 day! It seemed like everything on our house was more of a pain than we initially thought it would be, but the staff were fantastic about staying late and making sure everything was done well. They even took the time to paint our gutters so that they would coordinate better with the house. All the guys on the job were really skilled and very, very kind. The only thing that I had an issue with was the clean-up/follow-up work that was done. When they were scraping paint, they didn't cover the ground, or my children's sand box, so I've been picking up paint chips for some time. My young children and I also have found about a dozen screws in my grass/ground that were left behind when they were changing out the gutters. In addition, they didn't put back any of the paving stones they took up to dig for the restucco. Finally, there were also a few areas on the freshly painted woodwork that got chipped during the restucco, but no one came through at the end and did any touch-ups. They did leave the extra paint for me to do it, but it would have been nice if it were part of the work. All in all, it was a positive experience. I would recommend them, but just make sure you're firm about the clean-up details that you want done. "
"Michael was very neat, thorough and detail oriented. The walls were a different color than the baseboards, trim and doors so that took more time and I was extremely impressed with the quality of work that Michael did. He was also painting areas that had been patched from a water repipe and did an impressive job. I would definitely recommend and rehire Michael with Marvel Painting again! Thank you for a job well done!"
"Came in, found all leaks, cleaned up-dried everything out, came back, checked-dry walled repairs-painted & the finished by cleaning, carpets & tile. Wonderful employees!"
"Brandon did a great job refreshing our Kitchen. Him and Anthony who works for him, painted our cabinets and added knobs. They also put in a backsplash. And they upgraded our electric outlets and fixtures. They are very professional and great to work with!"
Wood stains last anywhere from two to five years, depending on exposure to the elements, your local climate, the type of stain, and the surface it’s on. For instance, vertical surfaces last longer than horizontal surfaces. Some types of woods, like dense hardwoods, will require a recoat yearly, as they are too dense for the stain to absorb. In any event, apply a recoat every 2 to 4 years. As for storage, a can of unopened stain can last up to 5 years, though results may vary.
DIY is possible with proper tools and knowledge, but professionals can ensure even application and high-quality results, saving time and hassle.
Stains penetrate wood best when it's cool and dry, so you want to avoid moisture. If the wood is wet upon application, or if it rains before the stain dries, the water will soak into the wood and displace the staining solution. This leads to a flaky and blotchy look, which is the opposite of a sumptuous even coat. Once the stain has fully cured, after about 3 days, rain shouldn’t cause you any problems.
Opt for an interior wood stain that is rated for your type of wood. Consider your personal style preferences as well as the overall use of the room when choosing a color. Remember, the color you see at the store may look different on your actual floors once applied. This is why if you have the chance, it’s helpful to test a few options on a scrap piece of wood in the room first. Once you narrow it down, you can test a small patch on an inconspicuous area in the room to see it on the actual floors.
On most untreated wood fences, there is no need to sand before treating. You typically only need to sand if there’s an old coat of paint or stain on your fence. If you do need to sand off a previous paint or protective coating (like an old stain or sealant), use medium-grit sandpaper.
