"I would highly recommend Clear Water Concepts. I did my homework before I selected them, so they were not the only local company that I spoke to.. What won me over was the knowledge that Matt, the owner, had on water here in AZ.. In addition, they have been in business for long time and, more important, this is the ONLY thing they do...(they don't sell hot water heaters, install toilets, etc). The product we got was the Sanitech Pro-Line for the water softener.. The control unit they use is rated one of the best in the industry. We also got the Sanitech Hph water purification system for the kitchen.. Incredible unit, and did not take up a lot of space under the sink. They came ON TIME....Cleaned up after themselves, and took the time to explain how everything worked. A day after the install, there was a very small leak (small drip) on one of the lines under the sink. I called, and they sent someone out immediately. That is why I rate them very high on customer service.. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a water softener.."

"Al's Plumbing is the best. They called me right away when I requested a quote from several plumbers. Al the owner called me. I explained I had a Water Heater under warranty that was placed by Parker & Sons 4 years ago. They wanted to charge me almost the same price as I paid for it 4 years ago just to replace it. "Two people arrived at the house: one technician and the owner.  The technician inspected the water softener and left two bags of salt as contracted for because none needed to be added at the time.  The owner answered questions about the softener operation and the operation of my reverse-osmosis water filter. He also pitched his plumbing services.  I was disappointed that the water softener service was not more thorough, such as to cycle through the operation and check valves.

"We found Amer with a Big Deal on Angies List.  The price was for maybe an hours worth of work.  They showed up on time, replaced the outdoor faucet (spigot?) which was leaking (spraying) really bad. They did something else for us (which I can't recall). 
Then my third request was to get his thoughts on what to do with a single lever shower control that had Hot and Cold backwards.  Hot was cold and cold was hot.  He looked at the age and model of shower level etc.  Then said yes he could take it apart.  It was probably a mixer valve (or something like) and try to flip the mixer it over.  However, given the age (<13yrs old) and hard water... chances are good that it may break in the process.  If it did break then that may cost a bit more.  So he'd be happy to do it of course, or if there aren't any other problem with it (no leaking etc.) then I might want to wait until the next time it needs to be worked on / replaced.  But it was my choice.
I appreciated his honesty and giving me options rather than just plowing forward and possibly running up the bill.  I think this shows some integrity, professionalism and caring about the customer.

Jeremy was very nice and explained to me that the unit was so old we would need to replace it. I was pleasantly surprised at how fast he was able to get it replaced as I was worried we would be without hot water for a while.
