"Regal Bath & Kitchen not only remodeled both of our bathrooms a few years ago but recently remodeled our kitchen. We are extremely pleased with not only the final product but their experienced and professional staff. I am very picky about workmanship and never had a complaint. The superior quality of product and installation expertise exceeded what we expected. We would recommend this awesome company to anyone!"

"Mike, the owner is very easy to deal with. He actually answers his phone The patio they installed used Phoenix Pavers, a local company.  We picked out the color we liked and the patio was designed using a 3 block random pattern. You can look at the colors online but seeing the colors in person looks better. I went to Marvel, another local company, and they have designs and colors you can look at. Mike moved a whole bunch of material to make the patio level and direct the water runoff, when it does rain, to the right place. I would recommend this company if you need a paver job done. He is also very affordable and has been doing business in AZ for 25 years along with being licensed, bonded and insured."

Foundation Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

Test regularly, clean the pump, and inspect the discharge line to ensure efficient operation.

In most cases, yes, because the large majority of basements leak or will have moisture issues at some point, and waterproofing methods can mitigate that risk or eliminate it entirely. Plus, water and moisture issues can be quite problematic, as they can lead to mold growth, rotting of building materials, structural damage, poor indoor air quality, increased electric bills, and other problems.

Submersible and pedestal sump pumps are two popular types of sump pumps. Submersible models are covered by water in a sump pit, which helps keep the motor cooler and quieter. Pedestal sump pumps stick out of the sump pit, so the motor stays dry and is easier to access. Submersible sump pumps are the pricier option, but they also have longer life spans.

Installing a sump pump takes a bit of know-how, but it is possible to do it yourself. You’ll need to familiarize yourself with details like where sump pump water goes to avoid creating new flooding risks. If you’re doing the work yourself, it’s recommended to bring in a pro for a quick inspection afterward so you can be sure your home is protected from any water damage concerns.

You can DIY basement waterproofing in some ways to help save on the overall costs. If your basement isn’t experiencing a lot of water but is noticeably humid, you can try running a dehumidifier that will pull the excess water out of the air. If you notice water leaking due to outdoor drainage issues, you can add downspout extensions to keep rainwater away from your home.

However, if the problem is more severe and requires a more extensive solution, it’s best to call a basement waterproofing professional to assess the treatment you need and install waterproofing safeguards properly. Since keeping water out of your basement is important, ensuring this job is done correctly the first time is best.
