"We were very satisfied with the work of Mike, and John (HBC Roofing Co.) did on our home. We had 5 estimates. We called Mike back. We liked the quality of the underlayment materials, they use. Mike and John, are very knowledgeable, experienced, friendly, and polite. They did a great job. They replaced broken, and off color tiles, with the exact tiles that are on our roof. Hard to find, cement tiles, red. Capped all of the ends, replaced skylights. Their crew was fast and efficient! Excellent job!"

Although I am currently not a licensed contractor I am legally allowed to perform any plumbing work under the handyman exemption for jobs up to a $1000. I can perform the same quality of work for much less than anyone else in town, so quit paying too much for your plumbing needs and call today!

"After calling Aaron, he was at our house within an hour. He put a camera down our cleanout and located a clog. He quoted a price that was a fraction quoted by the bigger contractors and started within a few days. After replacing the pipe, it was discovered that there was a crack in the city's pipe, Gila county was called and responded saying that we were responsible for that part of the sewer line. Aaron was able to dig under the road, locate the broken joint, cleaned out huge root balls, replace the pipe and wouldn't leave until after dark holes were filled in and area looked good. This had been a problem in this house for many years, long before we moved here. I am confident it was fixed and fixed right. Highly recommend."

"I cannot say enough about Aaron Schwarder and Schwarder Construction. We bought a home that had not been updated since 1964. Plumbing included. Aarons crews redid both baths and the kitchen. Beautiful bright Carrera look tile, white counter tops, beadboard, wainscoting. New light and plumbing fixtures. Kitchen went from dark and cave like with fluorescent lights in plexiglass recessed ceiling thing, to raised ceiling, high end appliances, beadboard cabinets and an open to the dining room floor plan. Aaron was not satisfied with the cabinet surfaces and repainted them himself. All custom cabinets. Very important to me is the comfort level of having people working in my home. It can be awkward, to say the least. Aaron's guys are very respectful and always clean up at the end of the day, even if they are coming back in the morning. They were very careful not to let the animals escape. Recently I called the home depot pro desk with some questions about installing a new entry door and the first name they gave me was Schwarder Construction. I was raised to believe that a man's word is his worth. You can take Aaron at his word. 5 stars only because you cannot rate higher."

The two most common types of drywall are ½-inch and ⅝-inch thick white or gray drywall. Most walls are ⅝-inch thick because the drywall is slightly more resistant to damage and it helps dampen sound considerably. It’s also much heavier, which is why most ceilings are ½-inch thick. Water-damaged drywall should almost always be replaced. Not only does it look bad, it’s a breeding ground for toxic mold. Even if you think the area is dry and there’s no active leak, the only way to be sure is to cut out the damaged area and see for yourself.

Whether it’s better to screw or glue drywall depends on your specific budget and project timeline. Professional drywall installers are more likely to use screws and fasteners than adhesives, but it takes longer. You’ll get better results if you soundproof the whole wall. A hole through which light can pass can also let sound waves in. Acoustical or silicone sealant applied to holes and cracks can block enough sound to make a difference.
