"The serviceman was running late, but I was notified before the scheduled time.  He worked get the job done and when he didn't have the correct part, he went and got one.  Installed everything correctly and thoroughly.  Even though he was in a hurry off to his next appointment, answered few additional questions that I have had.  Would use again.

"Heath and his team are exceptional. They promptly responded to phone calls, showed up on time, and performed the work in a professional and efficient manner. You will get an honest assessment from Heath. He will not try to oversell or add in things that you don't need. After receiving quotes from 4 different contractors (2 large/2 small), Heath's Air was the best value by far. There was never any sales pressure and they answered every question I had before making my decision. I had a complete HVAC system replacement as my previous one was about 25 years old. They came in, did their job, kept me informed of their progress, and made sure everything was working properly before finishing up the job. In my experience, I have found that the owner, Heath, is quite knowledgeable, honest, and trustworthy. Overall, the work went very well!"

"It turned out really good. I didn't take the energy audit. What I really wanted was the square feet of insulation and they did that. They were happy to do that. I was happy. That was all I wanted them to do. It was pretty quick. The heating and cooling bills have been much better since they blew the insulation. Three men initially came and later, there were two. Everything was covered and they made sure they were to my satisfaction. It was done very good. There was nothing bad. It was a well done and well performed insulation. It was a very good deal."

"La Darian was terrific. He came to inspect the plumbing and discovered that the house needed a water pressure reducing valve due to high pressure. In addition, the water heater was nearing its end of life. He was very knowledgeable, professional and personable. He worked within my time frame on consecutive days. He was on time, worked steady and completed the job in an efficient manner. He was easy to talk with and informed me each step of the way of the process. He presented me with choices when it came to purchasing my needed products. I want La Darian to work on any plumbing needs I may have in the future. He is a top notch professional."

"The whole experience could NOT have gone any better. John responded to my initial call immediately and came to the house to give me an estimate. I had gotten Noble Refrigeration through Angie's List and been extremely impressed with the glowing reviews but - as great as they were - they weren't great enough! When I told John I wasn't here the 4 hottest months, he told me I didn't need units with very high SEER ratings (these are a major factor in determining cost - the higher, the more $$$), which was not what the salesmen from the other 2 companies indicated but - no surprise - unlike the SALESMEN from the other 2 companies, John was an OWNER and the INSTALLER (along with his brother and father) .  He checked out my current equipment and walked through the house. He didn't measure every window or spend an hour putting data into a computer and when I asked for a ballpark price, he said around $11,000-$12,000 dollars. His written estimate specified only the big important things and he pointed out that each system was entitled to the $200 Angie's List coupon. When I asked about also replacing the 20-year old water heater, he said he should have thought of that himself, it was a great idea. He also said that - since he had to remove and then replace the existing water heater to remove and replace the old furnace, he could put in a new one and would just charge me for the water heater.  Out of all the contractors and service people I have used in my 12 years in AZ, the Noble family stands out. Their honesty, expertise, punctuality, price, and cleanup were AAA+++ and all 3 were such nice guys. John said the work would be done in a day and the men arrived at 7:00, worked non-stop till 4:00 (no lunch) and the job and cleanup were done by then. When they left, I had heat and AC on both sides of the house and a new, working water heater. Save yourself some trouble and time and use Noble Refrigeration. You will have the right equipment at the right price and extremely nice, honest, responsive, punctual men doing the installation. As a matter of fact, shortly after they arrived, I left for a 2-hour doctor appointment and had no concerns whatsoever leaving Noble Refrigeration in my home.

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

The primary differences between a heat pump and a boiler are their function and how they produce heat. A heat pump is a versatile system that provides both heating and cooling by moving ambient air and altering its temperature. In contrast, a boiler is solely a heating system, often working with a furnace or AC unit as part of a larger HVAC system. In terms of heat production, a heat pump generates heat more slowly and at a lower temperature, requiring a large convector for distribution. A boiler, however, produces a large amount of high-temperature heat that it emits through smaller radiators.

The absence of heating or hot water, unusual noises like banging or gurgling, and visible water leakage are key signs. Abnormal boiler pressure, flame irregularities (for gas boilers), or pilot light issues may also signal trouble. Frequent cycling, soot or staining, and unusual odors, particularly gas-like smells, should not be ignored. Modern boilers often display error codes or lockout mode upon detecting issues. Uneven heating across radiators and rising energy bills without increased usage can further point to problems. Prompt attention to these signs is essential to prevent further damage and ensure safety.

Professionals can recommend efficient layouts or appliances and ensuring regulatory compliance.

If your boiler is 20 years old, it’s time to get a new one. Although it may seem to be working fine, it’s likely eating up more fuel than it should. Also, compared to a brand-new boiler, one that’s 20 years old is probably not working as well. When you get your new unit, you’ll notice that your home is heating more quickly, and the heat is consistent throughout all the rooms.

Warmed or cooled air can escape your home through drafty windows and doors. If you notice any gaps, be sure to caulk and seal them. You can also hire a local pro for an energy audit to get a list of energy-saving recommendations.

Finally, check your insulation. It can settle in over time and become less effective. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that you can save an average of 15% on heating and cooling costs (or 11% of total energy costs) by sealing leaks and making sure attics, crawl spaces, and basements have a nice layer of insulation.
