"Experience was great, we just needed a checkup but received a great assessment on the condition. We also had a programmable thermostat for the large unit and replaced the capacitor. Would defiantly use the service again and recommend. It would be nice to drop the $40 service charged for going to Black Canyon City. We were informed of the surcharge when scheduling and I know your company must keep a service area but we are just 10 miles north of Anthem. Regardless we would still use your services in the future. During the. service we were informed of the capacitor on the larger unit, they also installed a programmable thermostat system for that same unit. Helen Graham"

"I've been using Angel Air for the past five years to maintain my older heat pump unit with annual tune up inspections . Finally needed a replacement Rheem unit installed from them, The two installers Scott and Tyler were on time, very friendly and knowledgeable in completing the installation. I was completely satisfied with the work done, and have always recommended this company to my friends and neighbors."

"Doug and his team are awesome. When we were selling our home in 2018 we wanted to take our Nest with us to the new house. My husband swapped the thermostat and ended up frying something in the AC. Doug was our hero that day, we had the inspector at the house and they found the unit was not working. Doug was able to come out same day to make the repair and get the AC back in working order. We also had a new unit installed on our new home. It was an easy process and communication was spot on. Thank you!"

"It turned out really good. I didn't take the energy audit. What I really wanted was the square feet of insulation and they did that. They were happy to do that. I was happy. That was all I wanted them to do. It was pretty quick. The heating and cooling bills have been much better since they blew the insulation. Three men initially came and later, there were two. Everything was covered and they made sure they were to my satisfaction. It was done very good. There was nothing bad. It was a well done and well performed insulation. It was a very good deal."

"The guy that showed up was informative but I was quoted $290 for a new fill valve (that they provide) or I could pay $212 for one that I provided. They also did not have the flapper on hand for my toilet (Kohler) that was supposed to be included with the $29 tune up deal and said there would be $69 charge for that."

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

Unless they are connected to the same system, boilers and water heaters will both need their own expansion tanks. The only case they wouldn’t have separate expansion tanks is if the boiler is pulling double duty and managing a heating system while also supplying hot water for a home. In which case, you may not need a hot water heater.

Boilers provide even heating, energy efficiency, and a quiet operation compared to forced air systems.

No, boilers and water heaters are not interchangeable because they serve different primary functions. Boilers are used for central heating systems, providing hot water or steam to heat your home. In contrast, a water heater's purpose is to supply hot water for daily household use, such as for faucets and showers. A water heater alone cannot supply the warm water or steam needed for a central heating system.

While they are not interchangeable, it is common to have both a boiler and a water heater. In fact, a conventional boiler often works best when a water heater system is already in place. The two systems can be combined to provide both heating and hot water, either by pairing a boiler with an indirect water heater or by installing a premade combination boiler-water heater unit. For home heating, some homeowners may also opt for a furnace instead of a boiler.

Chilled water HVAC systems use water instead of traditional components and refrigerants. They're more common in commercial settings than residential ones but are slowly being adopted by some homebuilders to cool homes. As the name implies, the system keeps the water chilled at 40 degrees and circulates it through water coils. The water absorbs the heat from your home and drains outdoors. Condo apartments are more likely to have chilled water HVAC than single-family homes because this system is designed to cool several rooms or large areas individually.

Scale from hard water is hard to diagnose until it starts causing problems. If your area has particularly hard water, that’s most likely what your boiler is using. If scale build-up becomes a problem, it starts to cause decreased flow and heating, and eventually, valve failures as valves become blocked. Let boiler professionals know if you’re worried about scale and they can offer advice or implement a solution.
