"The biggest challenge was finding time to schedule them.  I called, and did not receive a message back for quite a while.  By the time I did, I was in the throws of my busy time at work, so I didn't call them back.  I then called much later, and again did not receive a timely response.  However, once I was able to book them, I received a business card from the contractor with whom we were dealing with directly--and response times were much more rapid.  They were courteous, efficient and did great work.  My only concern is that I may have a slight leak in the repair they did over my patio, but it hasn't rained enough to confirm.

"Butch and his office staff are very friendly but I was disappointed with the quality of the work. This was a very small job, maybe 8-12 tiles slipping down the roof leaving gaps in coverage and 2-3 missing tiles that needed to be replaced. The job took three visits to complete. After the first visit I complained that there were still a couple tiles out of place leaving gaps in the roof coverage and there was still a missing tile that had not been replaced. On the second visit they replaced the missing tile with a spare tile I left for them but did not fix the gaps from the tiles that were still out of place.

On the third visit I was home and talked with Butch. Butch indicated that the tiles were just placed on the roof and were not fastened down so they would probably slip down again in another 2-3 years. For $500 I was expecting a more permanent solution than just kicking the tiles back into place! To Butch's credit he got some caulking and secured the tiles on the third visit."

Gilbert Armada Roofing was my 3rd estimate. I wasn't home the day he came for inspection but my brother-in-law was there to meet him and was very impressed with Mr. Armada's manner, his professional inspection and also impressed that Mr. Armada found things and pointed out items that the other two inspectors did not (or they overlooked). Once I made my decision the repairs and services were performed according to my schedule, on time, no delays, no rescheduling and best of all, NO MESS left behind. Prices for the job were very competitive. I hired Gilbert Armada Roofing based more on a feeling of trust in a stranger than price and I wasn't disappointed. I will be contacting Gilbert Armada Roofing to continue maintaining my roof in the future.

"The provider put in new toilet seats, fixed a sticky bathroom door (shaved it), caulked the garage and bathroom, minor repairs on the front door.  He was efficient and a very nice person.  Would definitely use again.

Our Air Conditioner quit working in the middle of the summer due to the roof caving in and displacing the air conditioner on the roof. The owner, Brian sent us an A/C serviceman and a roof repair expert. The roof was repaired and the A/C was re-positioned in a timely manner, providing us with much needed cool air.
By recommending an A/C serviceman, Brian made our task of dealing with all the issues with ease.I beleive this company-Audubon remodeling-do care about their customers and takes extra steps to provide excellent service.
I highly recommend Audubon Remodeling... Chris B

Gutter Repair and Replacement questions, answered by experts

Yes. Excessive pitch in gutters can cause water to flow too rapidly, leading to a decrease in the gutter's water-holding capacity; consequently, during heavy rainstorms, water may awkwardly splash outside the gutters. Ideally, you should aim for a quarter-inch of gutter slope for every 10 feet of gutter run. However, it's important to note that this guideline may vary depending on your home's structure and the type of gutters being installed.

If your gutters get overwhelmed every time it rains, adding an extra downspout is a solution. First, you'll need to decide where to add the downspout. If your current setup only has a single downspout, one option is to place a new one at the opposite end of the gutter. If you already have a downspout at each end, adding a third one in the middle can help to lighten the load.

You can hire a professional to add a downspout yourself by cutting into the existing gutter and attaching the necessary parts, such as an outlet and brackets.

Gutters should not drip at the seams. This problem could indicate that water is collecting in the gutters instead of moving to the downspouts. You could have leaves or other debris blocking the flow of water at the seams. Try cleaning the gutters, adjusting the slope, and sealing any holes or cracks in the material to fix this problem.

Yes, it’s possible to replace only one section of a gutter, and it’s a common repair. Often, a tree limb will damage a gutter on one side of the house, or constant weather will cause early corrosion. Gutters are often joined together with couplings that are easy to remove and swap out. For this reason, some homeowners will purchase extra gutters when they install them to have spare sections to use for replacement later.

The best way to seal gutters is with a combination of waterproof roofing cement and silicone gutter sealant. This powerful duo works to prevent water from escaping through holes and cracks while allowing for breathability. While you can use polyurethane sealants, silicone sealants tend to be more flexible when it comes to climate. Silicone is UV-resistant and bonds well to many surfaces. However, polyurethane sealant bonds better with wood.
