"The girls that were sent to do the cleaning were GREAT, did a wonderful job. My problem is with the companies' transparency and customer service. i gave all the info asked for in order to receive a quote, I received the quote accepted it and was then told after an hour into the job, the apartment was way too dirty and the girls would need more time to leave it clean, mind you they don't shampoo carpets. I spoke with the manager, very very rude, Natalie, she had the owner Miranda call me. I don't mind if more time was needed what I don't appreciate is that this company doesn't know the difference between a quote and an estimate. Miranda argued that the two mean the same thing, which they do not. When the ladies arrived and looked at the place, at that point they could have said "too dirty, we are going to need more time", at that point I make a decision but when the company knows that the apartment has to be turned in that same day, they seem to think they have you over a barrel and can choose to "scam" the customer. I only selected this company because they were on your site, I would suggest that you review their tactics. Again, the cleaning was excellent, but the company is not transparent. I don't like to give an F for the overall rating I wish you would separate the ratings between the cleaning and company, but since you don't I will give an F."

He was flexible as our design plans changed and had good ideas and pushed us to do a couple larger projects that we were a bit uncertain about until we understood how feasible it was to accomplish. "Jimi is congenial, knowledgeable, and his quoted price was reasonable. The work that was supposed to be done in less than 2 months, took 5 months. Most of the work was done pretty well. However, 2 major issues, both of which required extensive followup. As other reviewers have said, Jimi says he will show up and doesn't, makes a lot of promises he doesn't keep. First problem, master shower threshold tile was laid sloping in wrong direction so that water flowed out of the shower into the bathroom and bedroom. Despite repeated calls and promises to fix the issue, it was not addressed for 7 months, and only after threat to call Arizona Registrar of Contractors. Second major problem, plumbing under kitchen sink was done incorrectly with the drain set too low so that water barely can escape. Have had several significant floodings in the kitchen as a result. Another plumber said I was looking at over $1,000 to completely redo the plumbing and to remove/replace drywall to access the plumbing. Now I also probably have mold issues. 4-5 months later Jimi still won't come fix the problem, even though he admitted that he fired the plumber who was originally on my job during the middle of the job because he was incompetent. I cannot recommend 1st Choice Surfaces and I believe you will have the same problem with reliability and communication that has been cited by several reviewers and myself."

"The company had the sinks that went on the countertops, but did not predrill the sink opening. Instead, one sink which had a lip on it, the mason drilled out an opening with a hand drill. The opening can not be seen, but why was npot the hole cut at their plant before bringing the slab up, and a second slab which had a below top sink, they had to haul back to their shop, cut the hole and then bring it up the next day. The finish work, in putting in the granite shelves was poor, and I will have to patch and redo the stucco walls. So overall D+ job, and they were not particularly low cost."
