Excellent, in time and very through

Customer satisfaction seems to be of utmost importance to Steve Hanson and his crew, and we are very satisfied customers indeed. We caught the end of the heating season and the entire cooling season and are very satisfied with both the products and the installation. Steve and crew went out of their way to complete the work before we left on a long-planned vacation. For those of you who may be considering air conditioning but are concerned about the effect on your electric bill, it was less than a dollar a day for us to keep the house at a shorts and tee shirt comfort level. As to heating, we got the furnace with the variable speed blower and we love it - the temperature is maintained within a fraction of a degree.

Efficient and Friendly. Great Service

From start to finish (and even follow-up), hands down the best home improvement experience we have had. We received bids from 4 different HVAC providers. Steve was the only one out of the 4 that completed a Residential Load Calculation (Manual J) and was interested in using our blueprints to consider the installation complexity. We had a complex installation for the attic location, given the low overhead and others just kind of shrugged their shoulders and said "we'll figure it out", while Steve analyzed the space and blueprints to draw up a plan. The other 3 HVAC specialists made estimates by walking around the house and looking at the electrical box and then provided very different A/C tonnage suggestions - ranging from 2.5 to 4.5. Given Steve's thorough assessment, we had the most amount of faith in his A/C unit size estimates. In addition, his cost estimate was appropriate for the amount of work necessary and it fell right in the middle of the other estimates.
The install itself was smooth and took several days (as planned). His workers were thorough and competent.  About a month after the installation, we noticed a rattling noise in the attic unit that came and went when the furnace/ A/C unit was running. We called Comfort Systems and Steve immediately came over to assess the issue. He spent several hours troubleshooting and made several adjustments to ensure the issue was resolved, at no charge.
With the summer weather, we are now using our central A/C regularly and have found its operation to be efficient and low cost. After our experience working with comfort systems, we intend to utilize them for all future furnace and A/C maintenance and repairs. Exceptional service and expertise.

This was but the latest engagement with Flagstaff Comfort Systems, and every time we part knowing that we will contact FCS for our next HVAC needs.  Steve went out of his way to ensure that there will be no issues with the water line, filters or humidifier itself--given that it is attached to a duct in the attic.  The entire process, from requesting a quote to a follow-up after installation has been nothing less than what we have come to expect from FCS.  As a small, local business, the availability and responsiveness of FCS have been closer to what we would expect from a larger chain, with various on-call rotations.  Instead, we are consistently greeted (no matter the time of day) by a familiar face and a warm greeting.  Given the service that we have received, from Steve and the rest of the FCS team, we have found a partner for all of our HVAC needs, so long as we reside in the Flagstaff area.

I called a different company and explained exactly what I needed, what kind of system I had and set an appointment. The person who came a day later was not qualified to fix my GAS heating system, even though I told the scheduler that's what I needed. So I called Flagstaff Comfort Systems and they sent a person out on the SAME DAY! He called about an hour and half before he arrived to tell me there was only 1 more job before mine. Then he called again when he was on his way to my house.
Not only did he fix the system, he showed me photos of a second part that may need to be replaced soon and said they could order it and have it in stock when I was ready for it. And they are coming back to clean the system when that second part is replaced. Very professional. Very fast. Will certainly use them again!

I could not have asked for better service--prompt, great documentation, excellent from front office to installation.

In preparing for a cross-country move, Flagstaff Comfort Systems was incredibly helpful, as we needed an HVAC inspection on a possible home purchase. The people at Flagstaff Comfort Systems worked directly with our realtor, but kept us in the loop and up-to-date with the expectations, as well as updates to our service request. The technician was thorough in the notes taken and provided back to us, including a number of pictures that can be used to support requested repairs. The pricing was clearly explained, before work was started, and we were provided an update (in a timely manner) when there was an on-site adjustment to the scope of work that we requested. All-in-all, we'll definitely be keeping Flagstaff Comfort Systems on our list of service people, as we move to the Flagstaff area. How refreshing of an experience this has been, trying to coordinate the details of a home inspection from thousands of miles away!

They were very good and very reasonable. We were really happy with them. He spent a little bit of unusually long time at the house doing up the paperwork and we felt that that part was probably more appropriate to do it back at their office but we thought maybe it was part of their marketing presentation. In the beginning, it felt like it was going to be manipulative but the price and the product and the way it works turned out to be more than sufficient. It was inspected by the county the following week so everything was good because we had a heatwave after that. I don't have any comparison about the price because there are very few contractors so we picked them because they were in Angie's List. I would say it was a good price based on a replacement fee list and what we got for the money.

Mike performed a very thorough inspection of our heating system and provided a couple of different types of replacement units. He also explained how the new system would be installed. There were no surprises.

The cost was reasonable. They were on time and follows through. They had to work both under and inside the house but the work that they did was exceptional. I was very pleased. I came yo know them when I called several places to do the work and they are the one who responded quickly and send someone to come out to do the estimate. They also suggested that I had to write covers for the vents, so what had happened before would not happen again. I will absolutely recommend them to others.

We first got a recommendation to use this business from our contractor. We needed our furnace serviced only to find out our old furnace was spewing carbon monoxide. That was why we were waking up with headaches each morning. We got the furnace replaced with a top of the line Trane. They reviewed in detail furnace options and the differences and their cost before we made our decision. After the eating system was installed we also talked about upgrades we might want to consider in the future. We opted for a high grade air cleaner that has really helped the air quality in the house and has helped our asthma. The good thing about this is that is requires the air to be circulated and since then the temps n the house have been insistent for the first time since we owned the house. (24 years!!!) Lastly, we decided to add an air conditioner and, again, were given options and choices so opted for the middle efficiency unit. That was installed this past May and our entire house has been comfortable and the temperature has been consistent and comfortable. I feel that we are on a first name basis with everyone at this business and we have been very happy with the attention, quality of service and respect for the customer that we have experienced.

Excellent, the team was persistent and imaginative with their problem solving when it to came installation on a house that had no vent ducting and a living area that is on the second floor. We were greatly impressed with them.

At first it took a little to get an estimate, because of the amount of research they had to do, and they were busy, but once they started work I didn't know they were here and finished in less than a week

We had no heat coming from our furnace, we called Flagstaff Comfort Systems that morning and by 1pm the technician showed up to find and fix our problem. Within minutes he found the faulty gas valve electrical line, had the part in his truck and was on his way to fixing our heat. The work was fast, the technician was courteous, fast and knowledgeable teaching me how to do simple maintenance on my heater, also did a carbon monoxide check of our everything room(furnace, water heater, washer/dryer) for our safety! I already plan on using them again for other issues I have and cannot recommend them enough!

I called the company because the furnace was only blowing cold air. They suggested that I clean the filters because this may save me the cost of a service call. Unfortunately, this didn't work. They came out within 24 hours, diagnosed a faulty gas valve and replaced it. Since the unit hadn't been checked in 14 years I also had them do a maintenance on it. I had two technicians, Carl and Steve and both were nice and explained what they were doing.

We received the bid for replacement of the boiler and the repair of the boiler. We decided we would repair the boiler as the expense was considerable less that replacing the boiler. We scheduled the repair with Comfort Systems. The tech came out on time with a helper, and the parts, worked on the boiler most of the day and finished before 4 PM. He was very professional, cleaned up after the work was completed, explained what was done and how the boiler would perform with the repairs. We are very pleased with the work. The price we paid was exactly what the bid stated. The boiler works better than ever and we have lots of niece hot water. We also get a call back from the tech to make sure everything was working fine. Great service and we will use this service again.

Flagstaff Comfort Systems responded immediately to my service needs. Within a week, I was provided with an estimate of the work to be done with a guarantee that the project would not exceed the estimate. As I expected, all of my ducts downstairs needed to be replaced. The work was done the next week and came in well below the estimate. The representative with whom I meet was patient and clearly explained the work that would be done. The work was done by two very professional young men who were thorough, competent, careful, and completed the job within the estimated time frame. I am so impressed with the quality of the work completed and the character and professionalism of the company staff. The people who work with the company are exceptional and their work is outstanding.

Every person I spoke with from the office staff, Betty, to the sales person, Michael, to the install crew, John and Andy, were just fabulous! Professional, confident, always answered every questions with knowledgable information and clarity. I am impressed! I spoke with 4 companies for estimates- 2 showed; 2 excuses for not showing/calling. Flagstaff Comfort Systems was the best! Punctual; kind; honest. Very nice people!
