"We needed to have some holes in our walls patched that were left over from some plumbing issues that were fixed in the walls. Chris was very responsive, came out to give us an estimate, and followed up on the estimate. All estimates were about the same price, but we chose Match All Drywall because we felt they would do the best job. We scheduled the job a week out. The night before the work was scheduled to be done, Chris called and confirmed the time of the scheduled appointment. His crew arrived at the scheduled time. The crew said it would take about 4 hours to complete the job.4 hours later, they were done. The quality of work seems very good, Carlos explained to us what he was going to do. The texturizing of the walls is very similar to the rest of the wall. It is very hard t tell the difference especially if you do not look for a difference. We thought Carlos and his partner (sorry, forgot his name) did a great job. After I painted the walls, all looked almost as good as new. I would highly recommend Match All Drywall if anyone has any drywall repair needs."

Customers say: Super punctual

"James is a great handyman. He repaired my kitchen cabinet facade quickly without removing an adjoining cabinet that another handyman said was needed. He also tightened a faucet that the other handyman said was not repairable. The tile he re-attached was the easiest repair, but saved me the grief. His fee was reasonable too. Highly recommended."

"Hired Skillset Inc to repair an exterior wall that needed a stucco patch. They showed up when they said they would and completed the job in a timely manner plus cleaned up after themselves. Would definitely hire again!"

"the two men that arrived on time to my home which is usually a good sign. they were two of the most professional workers I have dealt with in a long time. and actually were excellent at what they were here to do. I had 7 large holes in three different walls because of a major leak. Rik and Daniel told me they would repair in all in one day. they did, you could not find the holes in my walls when they were done. they were good at what they did. they cleaned up everything when they were done ,you could not tell that I had major work done. I would give this company and their people a 5 star rating . would recommend them any time."

"This was a project for stucco repair on a block wall between my property & a neighbor (and painted to match existing color), repair of two pony walls in the backyard that needed replacement of flagstone vertical and horizontal pieces that degraded over the years, and repair of a portion of patio cement that had cracked. Jacob and his crew did an excellent job and understood what needed to be done and how best to do it. Jacob suggested a unique way of applying a new top-cap tinted cement to match the flagstone walls that provided a very sturdy top layer?much stronger than what was on there initially. The stucco wall repair matched what was originally on the wall and the patio repair fit right into the existing concrete. The crew worked tirelessly to get the job done in between the weather issues and completed the job in a timely manner at a very cost-effective price. I am extremely pleased with the final product, the customer service, and the friendly approach to the whole project."

Wall Repair questions, answered by experts

The longevity of flood walls depends on how they were constructed, but most wood, gravel, and cement flood walls last 10 years. While aluminum flood walls may cost far more initially, they can be a good investment as they can last decades and will not be damaged by exposure to the elements.

Small retaining walls still require a foundation of some kind, typically a concrete footing. This helps to ensure the wall is structurally sound and prevents the ground from shifting over time, especially during those winter freeze/thaw cycles. The footing helps spread the weight of the wall and the load it carries over a larger area of the ground, thus assisting with stability. This is true of small retaining walls, larger rock garden walls, and the like.

Each design is different, so we can’t say definitively if you’ll need a dedicated drainage system in place for a two-foot retaining wall. However, you can likely skip the drainage, as this project is typically served for walls that are 4 feet tall or more. Even with a relatively low wall, consider drainage if you are building on top of clay or poor-draining soil types or if there are buried water sources nearby, like a well used for other outdoor garden projects.

Through proper drainage solutions and compacting the foundation soil.

Poured concrete is often the cheapest material for a retaining wall, costing around $6 to $8 per square foot. Other budget-friendly options include vinyl and landscaping timbers, which range from $10 to $15 per square foot; landscaping timbers are particularly well-suited for DIY projects. Untreated timber and railroad ties are a step up in price, starting at $15 to $25 per square foot. Natural stones can also be a cost-effective choice if you can source them from your own property, but they can be expensive to purchase. High-end materials like steel are typically the most expensive but offer superior durability and aesthetics.
