"This company was very professional. The drywall repair was completed in one evening, and the walls were repainted the next day. They carefully prepared prior to and completely cleaned up after the repair. I would recommend Wall 2 Wall Drywall for any drywall repairs! They did an awesome job! Thank you!"

"I have 30 year-old block walls surrounding my backyard. There were pits and holes and stucco that had worn away. By the time Anthony finished renewing the surface, and then adding the stucco and finally two coats of paint the wall looked like it was when it was brand new! Thank you to Match All Drywall. I own two homes and between them, This is the fourth project. Whatever they turn their hand to, the end result is beautiful"

"I am very pleased with the work done and recommend them for repair of interior surface ceilings and walls. They matched the texture perfectly. They also installed a hanging ceiling light and a combo light and fan. These were the tasks they completed for me."

Small jobs welcome

"Jacob went above and beyond in repairing a damaged block wall and replacing some concrete curbing around my yard due to a car crash. He was extremely concerned about doing the job right. He also fixed some small things that were not included in his quote. He wanted it to look like everything matched. I would highly recommend Jacob and Jackrabbit Stonework."

Wall Repair questions, answered by experts

With foundation walls, the slab on grade and force at the top of the wall is resisted by flooring. With retaining walls, the force at the top of the wall is not resisted.

Rebar is a steel support that goes inside concrete to prevent structural damage over time. Concrete is susceptible to impact, weight, and tension. By inserting rebar into the concrete during the installation, you can help extend its lifespan and avoid hazardous situations where the foundation of your home gives way to tensile forces.

While vinyl is the least costly material for building a retaining wall, the most cost-effective method is to use wood or concrete blocks for a DIY retaining wall under 2 feet tall. Wood is inexpensive but lasts 20 years or more with care. Concrete can cost a little more but is stronger and will last longer with less maintenance.

Railroad ties can be good for retaining walls, but it depends on the area. They have a desirable rustic look and are durable. The problem is they’re treated with creosote, a preservative the EPA says poses a risk to humans and wildlife. Over time, the preservative seeps out of the wood and into the ground. Many areas have banned the use of creosote-treated wood on residential properties. If your area does allow it, never use railroad ties near an edible garden or drinking water source. Instead, use wood that’s treated with an EPA-approved preservative or a wood-alternative composite material.

Most retaining wall installations can be finished in one to three weeks, but the timeline varies based on factors like wall size and material. The local climate and major weather events, such as storms or flooding, can also extend the project's timeline, as can any holds ups in the permitting process.
