- ADTThe Technician called me the night before and let me know what time he would arrive and he was actually early compared to what he stated, he did give me a 20 minutes heads up and he was prompt. He was very professional and carried proper identification that told me he was who he said he was and it made me happy to see that level of security. The LifeShield system is designed to be installed by the home owner, so my cost was additional because I wanted it installed professionally. The Lifeshield people were great. They did not pressure me at all and in fact wanted me to shop around for my system. I called two other companies and both of them pressured me trying to get me to buy right then. At that point I decided that Lifeshield was the company for me. They have excellent reviews on the Consumer Advocate Website and they provided all my equipment at no charge. The only cost to me was the instillation and the monthly charge which was similar no matter whose system I would have gotten
- SATURN SECURITY & SOUND LLCI recently bought a house that came pre-wired with a security alarm and camera system. I was given Kevin’s name and number to call for connecting the home’s services, so I did. I don’t doubt the level of expertise Kevin has; however, his ability to communicate effectively his appointment scheduling, pricing, and length of the job to be done were non-existent. He verbally agreed to a time to perform services as the “afternoon” on our first encounter. Called me right after lunch and acted like there was a scheduled time of 1:30p to perform the job. I asked him to come later in the day, thinking if there were other appointments, surely he would have given a dedicated window of time for mine. So, I missed him that day and we rescheduled, with a dedicated time of 8:30am a following Monday. He showed up late, no call or text to let me know he wouldn’t be arriving on time. He didn’t get a full assessment of the components within the house to make sure that everything was in the place it needed to be or that the previous owner left it before coming to perform his services. He didn’t even have the right equipment or access to agents that could turn the services on. I had to leave my home after 1.5 hours of waiting for any updates to go to a work meeting, and he acted as though I was the person that was late and unprepared. I called to reschedule after my meeting and was told that I would need to find someone else to do the service for “wasting [his] time.” What about my time? I took off work that first Friday to be available at my home. I took off a majority of this morning to be available. I don’t doubt that Kevin could have done an excellent job if he would have communicated properly and set the appropriate expectation for me as the consumer - who now has a half-baked security system that may or may not be activated or functional

"This is an update to an update. I've had Simplisafe for about 4 1/2 years, and it wasn't working well for us. We had trouble getting the components to communicate. We had false alarms. The customer support was okay - I think they tried, but for whatever reason, the system just didn't work well in my home. Someone from Simplisafe offered to replace the system, and so far it seems to be working well. I'm curious to see if we have any problems with the motion sensors. I previously changed the sensitivity to "low" to make sure we didn't trigger false alarms, but for now, I'm leaving the new ones at the default setting. I greatly appreciate the customer service and them reaching out to me. After spending $500 on the components and countless hours fiddling with the system, I'm hopeful that it will work without much effort on my part now. Taking down the old system and setting up the new one took about 2 1/2 hours and was fairly easy.

"One of these pieces of equipment had a monthly subscription fee attached. My employee told them to not activate the monthly fee, but it was. We missed noticing the charge for several months.
