"The gentlemen who came to do this job were amazing. I really appreciate their help with this couch. They were kind and professional. I can't say enough kind worsa about them. They came into my house and picked up the super heavy couch like it was a kids toy. Very impressed! I will definitely call them if I ever need help again"

"After our initial phone call, when I agreed to hire them, I never got a date when they would start working, even when I texted a couple of time asking for it. Instead, they just showed up one morning, didn t even ring the bell, just started to offload their equipment on my front lawn, then after I came out, he requested for me to have part of the money by 10am (on a Wednesday), which I couldn t get off work because I work further than 30 minutes away. We arrange to get the money by the end of the day. But again, no prior notice of the day they would show up or needing half of the money on the first day. Also, don t let them offer you a new gate for your fence. They may install new wood but they try to reuse all the other fixes you already have, plus they overcharge. The fence is leaning because they didn t add concrete to the hole in the ground, and the wood on the gate is already warping, which is only a month old. I tried reaching out to them, but I get no answer. On the other hand, there were some unfinished touches that I had to call them back, and they didn t take all the old fence that they dogged out or didn t cut them. I had to call them back to fix those issues, but didn t resolve all of them."

"The project work was excellent - quickly done but professionally executed and when finished, there was no way to discern where the project work occurred and where the original construction was. Will use again for any project that needs doing and I highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for high quality work at a competitive rate and quickly"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

Glass has one of the longest lifespans of any fencing materials, lasting anywhere from 10 to 30 years on average. Just how long your glass fence lasts depends on several factors, including how well you maintain your fence, the climate, and the type of glass you use.

If you live somewhere with severe weather like hail, tornadoes, or hurricanes, expect your glass to have a shorter lifespan. Pool glass is one of the thickest tempered glass materials and may last longer than other options—especially compared to laminated glass.

Regular maintenance for wire fencing includes annual inspections for rust or damage, tension adjustments every two to three years, and immediate repair of any breaks or loose sections. You should also regularly check the fence posts for stability, particularly after severe weather, and make sure to remove any vegetation growing along the fence line.

In the vast majority of cases, chain-link fences are less expensive than wood fences. Installing a wood fence costs anywhere from 20% to 30% more than a chain-link fence, or an average of $3,100, whereas a similarly sized chain-link fence will average around $2,400. Even with add-ons and additional protective finishes, a chain-link fence is very likely to cost you less than a wood fence. The only exception would be a split rail wood fence, which can cost about half the price of a chain-link fence or less.

A silt fence should be buried in a trench that is 6 to 12 inches deep. A depth of at least 6 to 8 inches is necessary to prevent water and sediment from running underneath the fence. A deeper trench, up to 12 inches, provides better anchoring during wet and windy weather. To ensure proper installation, look for a red line on the silt fence fabric, which often indicates the correct burial depth. Always adhere to local guidelines and regulations; a professional contractor will be familiar with these requirements.

While wood fencing is versatile and durable, there are other fence material options to consider. Check out our comprehensive list of the Best Types of Fences for Your Home to browse through some other fencing materials. Popular types include metal fencing, such as aluminum and chain link, and wood alternatives, such as vinyl or composite fencing.
