"These guys are amazing. I called them on Wednesday and they were here the following Monday. He showed up on time with all the materials he need and the quality of his work is superior. When the time comes to replace my entire privacy fence, I will absolutely be contacting this company again. I was very impressed with the quality of his work, his customer service, and his willingness to go above and beyond to provide a quality product. I highly recommend this company for your future exterior needs."

Small jobs welcome

"Justin and Ashley have an amazing work ethic. They quote a price and time estimate in advance so there are no surprises. They finished the project at that price and timeline. The best part is that they listen to the project scope and come back with original and well-thought-out observations to strategically reduce or sometimes expand the scope due to their knowledge of the issue solution. I have several projects in line for them to do when time permits. My only advice to retain them is to pay them as fast ASAP after they purchase the materials and/or complete the work. They are too busy to have to spend time coming back and collecting on previous work. Plus, as a small business owner, they will appreciate and remember the timely cashflow that you provide to them for services rendered. As you can tell, I am a raving fan of Justin and Ashley! -dm"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

The cost to build a fence is about $3,100 on average, but you could pay anywhere from $400 to $13,700 or more. Your cost will depend on the length, height, and materials for the fence. If you hire a professional installer, labor costs typically represent about half of the total cost of the project. This means you potentially can save quite a bit of money doing the work yourself.

Options include ornamental designs, custom gates, and various finishes. Consult with your installer for customization.

You can use soil and gravel instead of concrete when setting fence posts. However, concrete is more durable and longer lasting, so it's worth considering if you want your fence to withstand the test of time. You should especially consider concrete if you live in a region that experiences severe weather, which can damage your fence.

The most durable metal for a fence is wrought iron. With proper care, a wrought iron fence can last for centuries. This means regular resealing to stave off rust and corrosion, especially in coastal climates with salty sea air. In these environments, chain link and corrugated fencing tend to stand up better to the elements with fewer maintenance needs.

A fence post set in concrete lasts anywhere from five to over 25 years, depending on how well the concrete was applied and the fence post’s material. Untreated wood posts in concrete could last less than 10 years, but a durable, treated wood set in properly applied concrete could last a few decades. However, all fence posts will wear out eventually, so expect to need to replace your fence post every five to 15 years.
