Small jobs welcome

"Iâ m a bustling mom of two with a husband whoâ s a health professional. Iâ m new to the city and I donâ t know anyone. I found him on the app and I read the great reviews. Vincente was communicative, friendly, professional and very fast. We were informed of the steps and payment was very easy. I will definitely keep his information on file for any future repairs. Thank you Vincente!"

"Burdette Plumbing was the only plumber in the area who was available immediately. They arrived on time, weâ re courteous and professional, found the problem quickly, fixed it the same day, all for a very reasonable price. Saved us from an enormous water bill. No question we will call them again."

"I knew we had found our plumber after talking to Mike on the phone....so personable and easy to talk to and a man who knows PLUMBING!!! I doubt you would have a problem he could not solve!! He made himself available right away on Jan. 1st and 2nd (no holiday fees) and solved our issues so I have time to sit and review him today. He works around the Atlanta area and does new installations as well as repairs that are located quite a distance from his home. His skilled helper, Kevin, and Mike worked very hard to quickly resolve our problems and we will not hesitate to call Mike the Plumber in the future!"

"Dean was prompt and courteous, he came out the same morning I submitted a quote on here. He called just a few minutes after I clicked send. I had wet carpet upstairs that I couldn't figure out. He found the problem pretty quickly, he had to replace the waste line from my upstairs bathtub. The replacement wasn't a quick process, but it was much quicker and more efficient than I could have done on my own. Well worth the money, I highly recommend D&D plumbing. I'm glad I called and hired him instead of one of the large corporation plumber companies, those big guys would have probably charged me more than double what D&D charged."

Plumbing FAQs, answered by experts

Upgrading plumbing in your Valley home provides immediate water pressure improvements by removing corroded galvanized pipes. In AL, our humid climate accelerates mold growth behind walls when leaks go unaddressed, making prompt repairs essential. Up-to-date plumbing also boosts your property value in our revitalizing market and helps prevent sewer backups during high-water events near the Chattahoochee River.

Helpful?

Certain symptoms mimic plumbing issues in AL. Water stains on walls indicate condensation due to poor insulation rather than active pipe leaks. Low water pressure stems from corroded supply lines inside your home, but always check with your Valley municipal utility first. Foundation cracks near pipes require a structural assessment to determine if soil movement caused the pipe failure.

Helpful?

Combining plumbing with other upgrades is highly efficient for older Valley homes. When professionals open your walls for pipe replacement, have them update outdated electrical wiring simultaneously. Crawl spaces opened for plumbing work present the ideal moment to install vapor barriers and insulation. This coordinated approach prevents contractors from opening your finished surfaces twice in our humid AL climate.

Helpful?

Homeowners in Valley underestimate the condition of their crawl spaces. High soil moisture and pest activity damage pipe insulation and wooden supports, complicating plumbing work. Additionally, homeowners own the sewer lateral connecting to the city main and must handle any repairs themselves. Always account for extended permit inspection timelines in AL, especially during peak spring and fall renovation seasons.

Helpful?

Watch out for quotes that claim permits are unnecessary for moving drain lines or replacing water heaters. In Valley, avoiding permits causes major issues during resale. Avoid contractors who guarantee a perfectly fixed scope of work for repiping older mill-era homes without including a contingency plan. Always require a valid state license and ask for references from the local AL area.
