"We had previously hired someone to waterproof our basement but it severely failed. Once AFS came and accessed the crawl space, they implemented a new system. Our crawl space is amazing now and the team Quadarrius, Jovian, and Dallas were professional, informative, and proficient! Colt my representative walked me through everything before during and after! I love this company and recommend their services to anyonet!"

"The owner, Jason, was very prompt in contacting me (within 2 days) after I inquired on Angie's List.  He came and gave me an estimate and date service would be performed which was within one week.  It was a very busy time since Christmas was near and he accommodated me with my wishes to have it completed by Christmas Day. His employee, Collin, came on a  Sat Morning and removed the old backsplash and installed the new backsplash, then came back 2 days later, Christmas Eve, and grouted it. As people may know, the glue had to dry before grouting.  My husband and I could not believe how professional and perfect the tile job was and Collin could not have been nicer, more professional and courteous.  He even went to the store and swapped out the grout I had purchased because the amount was not correct and swapped out the glue because the store had sold me a type which was not correct and which was more expensive than was needed for the job which saved me money. We are definitely going to hire them again for other improvements to our home we have planned.

"Our technician, Dameyan Jackson, called the night before the day of service to let me know the time that he would be here to service our system. On Friday, he called to let me know that he was available to come earlier than scheduled, if I would like. He arrived shortly after the phone call, came in and quickly recognized that the pump had failed. He was very knowledgeable and professional. I was very pleased with his service and look forward to him returning to install a new pump."

"They have been out for the electrical. They have been out for the pool. They have been out for the sump pump. Its the fee for the service call. We have used them for the last 3 years. If you have an appliance that you think needs replaced they will not replace it they will repair it to death. They are very responsive. Some of the people they send out are great, some are okay."

"We hired FS360 to improve our drainage system and encapsulate our 40 plus year old crawl space after interviewing eight companies. We developed our requirements from research and watching Utube videos. They put everything in writing along with a drawing of our crawl space. They completed the job just as specified. The crew was very capable, polite and neat as possible. We are highly satisfied with all aspects their work and the products they used and also their commitment to customer satisfaction. Joseph R."

Sump Pump Installation questions, answered by experts

To maintain your sump pump, start by checking it every three to four months to ensure it’s in working order. Clear any debris from the pit because blockages can prevent the pump from operating efficiently. You should also test the pump by pouring a bucket of water into the pit. If it turns on automatically and drains the water, it’s functioning correctly. Inspect the discharge line for clogs, and ensure it directs water away from your home. Once a year, clean the pump itself, and consider having it professionally serviced for optimal performance.

Every three to four months, you should clean any dirt and debris off of your sump pump. You should also check the inlet screen (at the bottom of the pump) to make sure that it isn’t blocked. On top of that, you should deep clean your sump pump once per year—or hire a sump pump pro to do it for you.

You should be fine. Most high-grade grinder pumps have a 24-hour holding capacity within the tank. You can continue to use the facilities so long as the power outage does not stretch into days. In a worst-case scenario, attach a generator to the grinder pump, providing it has sufficient electric capacity.

Yes, it’s normal (and beneficial) to have a small amount of water in the bottom of your sump pit. It shows that your system is collecting groundwater, rain, and excess water from around your property—just like it’s supposed to. However, if the sump pit is always full, you might have a leak or a faulty sump pump.

You shouldn’t shower while a sump pump isn’t working. Although household wastewater isn’t supposed to go into the sump pit, it’s best to wait to shower until your sump pump is running properly and able to move excess water out of the basement. If you need to shower when the sump pump isn’t working, aim for a short shower.
