"The team came on time as they promised. They did great job installing the irrigation system. Two days after the system installation, they came back and did some fine tuning to make sure the system works well. Thank you Jim and your team. I will definitely ask your help in the future!

"Great guy to talk to, he went on roof to inspect, told me what was going on up there. Repaired and installed parts showed me the old parts. He took pictures before and after.bRepaired fire box and cleaned chimney. Do Not Use Top Hat. On there inspection. No pics only tolde me what was wrong. I can't come behind them and check. One week after top hat left, I called Bcs. That is what they found."

Customers say: True professional

"Tyler recently did some landscaping for me and I was very pleased with the results. He installed a beautiful dwarf mondo grass border, refreshed the flower beds and planted three large trees and one small tree with great care and attention to detail. The plants were all high-quality and enhanced the overall look of my yard. I would recommend his work to others."

"Southern Outdoor Solutions, LLC did a wonderful job completely redoing our backyard! My personal favorite is the new hangout area with a fire pit and beautiful lattices. We had it ALL done, sump pump to cover drainage issues, concrete back porch extention, garden beds and borders, new Sod laid, rock laid, firepit and seating area with pavers & block, large backyard pergola, fencing around our yard, and separating both side yards. They even handled all the lighting, which makes the space perfect day or night. We are beyond pleased with their outstanding customer service, the speed of their work, and the quality they delivered. Thank you for transforming our backyard into a space we truly love!"

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

Absolutely! Smoke alarms are lifesavers. According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), per 1,000 reported home fires, homes without working smoke alarms have a death rate nearly twice as high as those that do have working alarms. So remember to ensure you have enough installed in your home and that they are working and in good shape.

You can fireproof an existing door to some extent, but it's better to remove the old door and replace it with a fire-rated model. Anything dealing with extreme heat needs rigorous testing and a door you DIY fireproof will not undergo the same safety measures as a premade one. Consider a door with a rating of at least 30 minutes or more in residential areas.

Although you can put a smoke detector on a shelf, the NFPA recommends mounting one on the ceiling or a wall (within 12 inches of the ceiling). If you place your smoke alarm on a shelf, ensure it’s away from drafty, damp, or dusty areas and not near cooking appliances, heat sources, or fluorescent lights.

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) says you can place smoke detectors on either the ceiling or the wall, depending on the setup of your room. Since smoke rises, the ceiling makes sense, but if you go with a wall mounting, the alarm should be installed high up—no less than 12 inches from the ceiling.

Yes, windows being painted shut is a fire hazard. Because windows painted shut may have locks that stick or cannot be opened easily in an emergency, this becomes an immediate fire hazard that should be dealt with.
