"I highly recommend Molinas Tree Service! They are an amazing team of friendly, professional, efficient and hard working individuals. They were quick to respond to my call for an estimate on removing a huge pine tree and arrived early on the day of removal. Clean up was good. The cost was very reasonable. "J & C Tree Experts were great. They are a great company and do a professional job. They made sure that every little detail I wanted done was complete and did not leave until the job was finished. They walked with me from tree to tree as I showed them EXACTLY which Limbs needed to be cut off or just pruned back. The did stump grinding for the tress that were removed and cleaned up all limbs and debris that has fallen during the work. I can safely say that the PRICE was GREAT compared to other companies I saved at least $2000 and they did an exceptional job. I liked them so much I paid them extra because I felt they earned it! I highly recommend J &C Tree Experts to anyone looking to have trees, removed, trimmed, and stump grinding. They are the best Thanks, J & C for a job well done without any hassles. Mrs. Infinger"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Though summer is not ideal, you can do some light pruning during this time of year. Just make sure it’s not excessive. Vigorous pruning will stress the tree and impact next year’s growth. Generally, August to September are the best summer-pruning months, particularly for fruit trees.

The best time to transplant a tree is when it is dormant. For many trees, this means either in the fall after the leaves have dropped (around October or November) or in early spring before new growth begins (around March). The ideal timing can depend on the type of tree. Deciduous trees do well when moved in early spring or fall, while evergreens are best transplanted in early spring or late summer. For example, pine trees are best moved in early fall, but maples prefer late fall. Avoid transplanting in winter, as the frozen or hard, cold soil poses a significant risk to the roots and prevents the tree from acclimating properly.

Carefully pruning small roots no thicker than three inches in diameter won’t harm the tree. However, cutting larger roots may impact the tree's stability and nutrient absorption. It's advisable to consult an arborist or tree care professional to evaluate the root's size, the tree's health, and the potential impact of cutting. Proper tree pruning techniques and timing can minimize damage, but larger root removal may necessitate expert guidance to avoid compromising the tree's overall health and stability.

It’s possible, although a lot depends on the cause of damage and what steps you take. If the remaining parts of the maple tree are alive and not under attack by disease or pests, they can often be saved even if large portions of the maple tree have died. Frequent watering, careful pruning, mulch, and any recommended fungicides or insecticides can all help with survival.

Early signs that a tree is struggling include premature leaf shedding and lesions or other strange markings. Peeling bark, dead or rotten branches on the ground, and a conspicuous lack of leaves can all be signs that a tree has started to die. By the time a tree starts leaning, it’s usually too far gone to save.
