The estimate was a few 100 dollars more than my previous estimate but after waiting 6 months I didn’t care. One guy came out to do the job which took 2 days. That was the quietest worker and he cleaned up the work area very well even putting a tarp down to collect debris. I would hire this company again. Work was good, cost very reasonable,"

Its R-value is 2 to 4; compare that to vinyl, wood, and fiber cement—all of which have R-values under 1. You can boost your siding’s R-value by installing a layer of foam insulation. 

Siding lasts for between 20 and 40 years, at a minimum, but the lifespan you’ll see from your new siding depends on the type. Vinyl and aluminum siding have average lifespans of 20 to 40 years, while wood and real stone siding can last up to 75 years. There should be small gaps between your roof and the walls of your home, and other buildings. Without these strategic gaps, your home’s exterior and its finishes can sustain water damage, decay, peel, delaminate, and crack.
