"Molina's Tree Service has cut down three trees for me. They are the best tree service I have used. They are professional in all areas: on time, trees removed fast, stumps ground, and debris removed without issue. No damage to my property of my neighbors. I can't say enough good things about them except they also had the best price!"

"They responded quickly for quote and service. Work was performed quickly and very professionally. They cleaned up all branches and twigs. Ground the stumps and filled the holes with the mulch. I would definitely recommend and would hire again if needed."

"They did excellent work. They arrived promptly on the scheduled date and time. They removed the debris and cleaned the area after the trees were removed. You could not even tell the trees were ever there. I loved that the Owner was on site. The entire crew was polite and respectful. I would highly recommend C & G Tree Service! Thank you."

Customers say: Terrific value

"MJ's did a great job with removing two big trees in our backyard without damaging our lawn or nearby shrubs! Out front, they carefully removed two mature arborvitaes and a row of azaleas from a narrow brick landscaping bed. They also limbed up a few other trees to my exact wishes. They left the work site cleaner than they found it. Call MJ's! You won't be dissapointed."

"Outstanding experience! They were professional and very reasonably priced. They completed a huge project in a timely fashion. The oak tree they took care of was big enough that 3 adults couldn’t reach around it."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Yes, forestry mulching can grind stumps, but the level of effectiveness depends on the equipment used. Drum mulchers can break down smaller stumps, but larger or deep-rooted stumps may require a dedicated stump grinder for complete removal. If full stump removal is necessary for replanting or construction, additional excavation may be needed. Always check with your forestry mulching provider to confirm whether they offer stump grinding and if their equipment is suitable for your specific needs.

Though summer is not ideal, you can do some light pruning during this time of year. Just make sure it’s not excessive. Vigorous pruning will stress the tree and impact next year’s growth. Generally, August to September are the best summer-pruning months, particularly for fruit trees.

If it’s only a smaller branch that has died and you’re keeping an eye on the tree, it’s probably nothing to worry about. But if other nearby branches start dying off as well, or a very large branch dies, then you likely have a bigger problem. It’s time to watch for diseases and other problems and possibly get professional guidance on how to proceed.

Palm trees are unique in that their roots don't grow straight down; they grow horizontally. Typically, palm tree roots go down between 12 and 36 inches deep. The roots grow far and wide from the base of the palm tree to absorb as much water and soil nutrients as possible. In addition, the horizontal roots are also very strong—keeping palm trees stable and helping them sway during storms.

Whether you grind or dig up and remove your tree stump depends on your landscaping goals. Using a stump grinder leaves the root system in place for it to decompose over time, whereas digging up the tree stump removes the roots and the stump. Overall, stump grinding is a far simpler process since you won’t need to deal with the roots. Stump removal will make your yard look like a demolition site, but you’ll have an easier time replanting in the same place as your former tree.
