"The gentlemen from Molina's Tree Service were professional, capable, friendly, fast, and careful. They chopped up and hauled away a very large oak that fell in our backyard. And, they were careful not to damage our lawn in the process. I will absolutely call these folks again if needed and highly recommend them to others."

"J & C Tree Experts were great. They are a great company and do a professional job. They made sure that every little detail I wanted done was complete and did not leave until the job was finished. They walked with me from tree to tree as I showed them EXACTLY which Limbs needed to be cut off or just pruned back. The did stump grinding for the tress that were removed and cleaned up all limbs and debris that has fallen during the work. I can safely say that the PRICE was GREAT compared to other companies I saved at least $2000 and they did an exceptional job. I liked them so much I paid them extra because I felt they earned it! I highly recommend J &C Tree Experts to anyone looking to have trees, removed, trimmed, and stump grinding. They are the best Thanks, J & C for a job well done without any hassles. Mrs. Infinger"

"The crew did an great job, doing precisely what I requested. I had not done any "big" yard work (trimming trees, shrubs, bushes) for almost 5 years, and they had taken over my yard. The ditch side of the fence had totally run amuck, and I didn't want to get down into it without assistance. They cleared out all of that (since the city no longer does it, but lets little elder folks take care of their own sections), and took climbing rogue ivy off the back of my outside garage. They did all of this in two partial days (a lot of rain to work around, and one day IN the rain to finish up the job). Would highly recommend them to anyone. They were honest, reasonable, personable/friendly, and very polite. I will definitely use them in the future. Do not, as yet, have "after photos." Will post as soon as I get some."

"Mr. Leroy has completed several jobs for me. The first was the removal of several trees and stumps. The second was trimming and removing trees and brush from the easement area behind my house. He has completed a lot of tree removal jobs in my neighborhood. Everyone I have spoken to regarding the service has been extremely pleased with the performance of the crew as well as the overall job. Mr. Leroy is professional, detail oriented and well organized. His crew works extremely well together. They are punctual, and respectful. Mr. Leroy will do what he says he will do, (which is a quality/trait you do not find in businesses these days). They always clean up the debris when the job is completed. You won't be able to tell they were even there! (With the exception of the Tree Removed). I would definitely recommend C & G Tree Service if you want the job done Right the First Time. Mr Leroy will give you a detailed estimate, review it with you and discuss any concerns you may have."

"I was very impressed with the work. They are a crew of go-getters. They arrive early in the morning and immediately got busy. They took down 4 fairly large trees and did all the clean up in a day and 1/2. The price was very reasonable and they were careful with the property around the task at hand. I will definitely use them again."

"I HIGHLY recommend North Alabama Tree Service. JD and his team removed two 100+ foot pine trees (one was dead from a lightning strike) from my backyard and cleaned up the dead / dangerous limbs from the other five trees. They did a great job getting the trees out, grinding the stumps and cleaning up the yard. North Alabama Tree Service is definitely a five-star company."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Trimming a tree can take anywhere from just two hours to a full day, depending on the age of the tree, the number of trees, and the species. Young trees are generally easier to trim, as their branches are often thinner in diameter and easier to reach compared to mature trees. They also tend to be healthier. If you haven’t trimmed your trees before or it’s been a while, the process could take even longer.

You need to remove all branches affected by Dutch elm disease. If your tree has several affected branches, you will probably need to remove the entire tree. First, consult a pro to be sure that you’ve correctly identified it as an elm tree. Make sure the tree is properly disposed of with a plastic covering or through debarking, chipping, or burning.

Large, established tree branches won’t grow roots, but if you find a young tree branch that’s less than about a year old, you’ve got a shot. Put it in water or soil as soon as possible for best results. You’ll know the branch is viable if it’s about the thickness of a pencil and has some leaves or needles.

It may be possible, but transplanting a large, mature tree can be a tricky project, and some trees handle it better than others. If you have a tree you need to save and are considering transplanting it elsewhere, we highly suggest calling a tree removal service and arranging a consultation to see what they say (and how much a full transplant would cost).

It depends. Smaller, younger trees take longer to mature, but they're more resilient, their roots don't get as damaged during transplanting, and they recover faster. Plus, they're much more affordable to plant, and it's possible to DIY the planting.

On the other hand, mature trees produce fruit faster and provide more shade and privacy immediately. Ideally, a small or medium tree is the better choice if you can wait a few years for it to mature. But if you need immediate maturity, a larger tree is the only option.
