"They came and did a good job at the price quoted, finished in a timely manner. One major problem, the expansion joints were cracking with in one hour after the pour., because the fill dirt was not compacted before the pour,the driveway now has long cracks forming perpendicular ( right down the middle) to the expansion joints. If you use them make sure they are not skipping this essential step to compact the substrate, once you pour it is too late. I had Sal come back and see what was happening and he offered no remedy, just said it will be ok. The new driveway is not even 6 months old. I stayed off of it for 7 days as recommended while it was curing. Buyer beware."

"Subcontractors were mostly good, but management of them was lacking. I had to personally supervise them because the on site contractor rarely stayed very long. Told the trim finish crew to leave because they did not know how to install crown molding. Got another crew that knew what they were doing. They never asked for periodic payments during the job (as is typical); presented one huge bill at the end. Holland homes builds nice homes, but I would not recommend them for small jobs like mine because you do not get the best crews and you have to wait for them to fit you into their schedule."

Another con of concrete countertops is that they’re heavy, meaning additional reinforcing support is sometimes necessary to protect your cabinets and possibly even your floors.

A concrete slab costs between $3,600 and $7,200. The price can fall outside of this range if you need a slab that’s thicker than normal, or if you want or need reinforcements, like steel rebar.
