  • Ernie's Plumbing Service Inc

The work was done in a professional manner with each step explained in detail. The old line under the front lawn to the street was displayed to us before the work was done. We could see the issues which needed to be addressed.

We had a big leak dripping out of the water heater, and it was a disaster. Ernie's sent Joey Polk, who is amazing! He replaced the piping to fix the big leak, put a floodstop device on the water heater to prevent further water problems, fixed the loose toilet, and put all new stops on the kitchen sink. It so happens that we had a new dishwasher being delivered that same day he did the repairs, and had Joey not fixed the stops and corrosion below the kitchen sink, our new dishwasher would have been destroyed just like the last one!!! He both fixed our plumbing problems and prevented future ones. For that, we are grateful. I'm using Ernie's from now on when I have a plumbing need

Joe Norris and Gary Jackson were great to work with to remodel and design our Kitchen and Laundry room. Custom Cabinets, new flooring, extensive interior painting, new trim and electrical work. They installed new Kitchen and Laundry appliances. LED lights were installed in the cabinets and ceilings. They were in constant communications via phone and text messaging. From demo to having a working kitchen took approximately 6 weeks. They provide advice when asked about products, designs, and other improvements to the house. Their team of trade professionals were some of nicest people we have ever worked with on home improvement projects. I would highly recommend

  • Village Designs Remodeling
    5.0
I hired to Gene Chernay /Village Designs to remodel my kitchen in June 2018. My only regret is that I did not take the time to post a positive formal review sooner. However, since I have had experience with a number of different home improvement and home repair contractors and services since then, I have come to deeply appreciate Gene’s professionalism in comparison to others. This was a really big investment for me and a really big deal. As single mother and sole provider for my family, there were lean years where I had to live with things in disrepair because the money just wasn’t there. Once that changed, my daughter was in college and all my money went there. Finally, I was in a position to invest in my home but it was scary for me. It took me a long to time pull the trigger on signing a contract with Gene and he was patient and very professional in following up with me without pressuring me. Here is my honest take: · He was always kind and courteous, even during moments when I felt stressed or frustrated. · His tear out crew and tile people were fast and efficient! · His carpenters and electricians were a joy to have in my home and I definitely do not feel that way about every contractor or service technician who has come through my home. · Everyone picked up after themselves (trash, tools and equipment) daily and was respectful of me and my home (believe it or not, some contractors just don’t) and they did not break or damage anything (and that is not true of all contractors.) · I have since used his plumber and had positive experiences. · I have used an AC company he recommended and had positive experiences. · I wish I had used his painter to paint my exterior but I made a mistake on that decision and went with someone different for which I will post a separate review. · His fabricator did a stunning job on my kitchen counters! · I followed his recommendations on sourcing all new appliances from a business that he had a long time relationship with and that worked out really well. · He left every detail down to the selection of grout color up to me with his guidance and suggestions as needed. · He gave me a list of decisions I needed to make as we went along and helped me prioritize them. There were a couple of minor concerns with the cabinets that could have been done differently, but in the end, they are absolutely beautiful and I am so happy with my new kitchen and the way I was treated! I will definitely hire him again if he hasn’t retired by the time I am ready to do my master bathroom

  • Sparks Appliance Outlet & Repair

Great experience! I received a call to discuss the work and price within half an hour of requesting a quote on Angie's List. I was able to quickly schedule the installation. On the day of the installation the guys called to confirm the time, arrive right when they said they would, and the installation was quick and efficient

  • Appliances Connection
    5.0
Fantastic appliances and superb service. I'm located far out of the way, but AppliancesConnection was still able to provide shipping to my front door at a price I could not find anywhere else. They also provided me with two really terrific rebate programs and the documentation to take advantage of them. I can highly recommend them

Shannon, the owner treated us so horribly. This is by far the worst customer service we’ve EVER received, and after looking at previous reviews, it seems like other people have also been disrespected by Shannon. When placing the order with Co-Owner Tatyona, they were aware we were buying in behalf of a business with full authorization. We moved forward with the purchase due to their agreement of an invoice CC transaction and next day delivery. The next day delivery was essential to us as we’re interior designers with a deadline. They were more than happy to sell us the fridge as we would become regular customers. This was May 6. The next day(May 7), the day of the delivery I received a very offensive call 30 mins before the delivery time from Shannon stating they won’t be delivering the fridge due to the transaction still pending and not being able to schedule delivery again, if even, on Thursday May 12th… I understood that, but why schedule a delivery for next day knowing you have to wait for transactions to clear? Next day delivery on May 7th was promised. Transaction fully cleared on 05/09 and we were willing to provide Shannon with whatever he needed to verify the transaction as he continued to refuse giving us our fridge. Picture ID with business CC. Amex Transaction. Amex account holder information. Business documents. He continued to refuse our verification method and give us a hard time to acquire the fridge. At this time, the funds have already been pulled from our account and we told him we can pick it up, that’s not a problem. Shannon followed up with “You, or nobody is going to be coming into this store to take anything from me, nor will we be delivering anything to you until this transaction clears. You can cancel, go to Home Depot, I really don’t care”. This was clearly a lie coming from Shannon as Amex verified that the funds have been successfully received but yet the transaction hasn’t posted on his end - according to Shannon. His next comment was how we didn’t have the card physically with us, but they clearly knew that as he assisted his wife, Tatyona to provide us the invoice. Again, we attempted to provide him every ANYTHING needed to verify but he refused. Today, May 12th, we walked into Sparks to see Tatyona and she have absolutely no idea who we are - she knew as she was hostile towards us immediately. Once we refreshed her memory, she acted clueless. We offered to purchase the fridge right then and there with our ID and CC to verify. Now, she refused to do this and stated our refund/cancellation has been processed. We left the store and came back only a few seconds later to ask for a copy of the cancellation. Once I asked for the receipt of the refund, she only then voided the transaction because I asked. Very unfortunate experience - I wish I could post the recording of the conversations. This interaction is by far the worst myself, and my team have been treated by company. The disrespect was extremely unprofessional

  • CAPITAL DISTRIBUTING
    1.0
Do NOT waste your money on this high end piece of outdoor equipment. You are better off buying a cheap one and replacing every couple of years. We paid about $2000 for this outdoor Lynx refrigerator from Capital Distributing and from the moment we plugged it in it would not cool and alarms continually went off preventing it from working. A repairman was sent out on three occasions and he told me the first time privately that it wasn't a good unit but we were stuck. We have been in contact with both VIking/Lynx and Capital for over a year and they have basically handed us off to one another & given us the run around until the warranty expired. We will never use this company again and we will make sure to let everyone know that Lynx/Viking and Capital do not stand behind their products

  • Coxco General Contractors Inc
    5.0
Fortunately, Coxco provided us a very timely and reasonable quote; which incorporated several excellent recommendations and cost saving alternatives, including the expert removal and re-utilization of the double sink marble counter top in the master bath. Once we reached agreement on the scope and price, John assigned an extremely competent, courteous and dedicated staff. We were also very pleased with the professional group of subcontractors. The renovation project included; (1) installing custom cabinetry and recessed LED lighting in the master bathroom, (2) new vanity and lighting in the half bath, (3) installing various types of custom flooring through most of the house, (4) all inclusive interior painting, (5) installing a new patio door and new appliances. Coxco also provided a professional cleaning crew after the job completion, making the move into our home much easier. The renovation project was completed on schedule and within the quoted price. Needless to say, we were extremely pleased with the results and have received many positive compliments from our neighbors. We experienced similar results from Coxco following the completion of the roof replacement and other improvements on our previous home. We highly recommend John Cox?s company, Coxco, for roof replacements, home renovations and other related projects

  • Chip's Kitchens and Baths
    5.0
Five Star (Highest Review) Summary: We are very happy with Chip’s full kitchen and breakfast nook remodel. High quality cabinet workmanship, honesty, professionalism, attentiveness, outstanding advice/guidance on design, and favorable contractual payment schedules for peace of mind protection (given an industry known for excessive delays, quality issues, incompletion), high value given the project cost, and military-like coordination of workers to complete on time. Cabinets can be 40% of any remodel. We selected Chip’s because they are unique among remodelers because they build their custom wood cabinets from scratch and “bake” them at their company owned facility. The advantage are cabinets designed to be fully utilized, compared to preset factory sizes (that use spacers to fill gaps). Further, the offsite baker allows a higher quality finish and longer performing cabinet, than painting at the house. We are very happy with quality of the construction of the cabinets, the sheen silky smooth feel, and the look. Lastly, if any damage in the future would occur from wear and tear, it will be easy as a phone call to replace, as they keep our kitchen cabinet specs in the database for ease of replacement. They have been in business for over 40 years. Organizationally, the courteous workers were at the house continually without material time delays (including Saturdays – per our request). We have heard plenty of stories of other remodelers that overbook at the expense project completion. They store all the remodeling materials so when they have them they can start and finish the project within the timeline. We also enjoyed several thousands in saving from Chip’s discounts received from major retailers for appliances, countertops, fixtures, etc. versus the typical “mark-up” remodelers like to charge. The end result is a high-end quality luxury remodel for a price that provides lots of value that was done on time by very honest and courteous professionals
