Mac Exterior is a small family owned company who trives in costumer satisfaction because if our costumer is happy means more bissness for us. Anything we do, we do it to 100% until satisfactory from both home owner and ourselves. We specialize in roofing threw out the year but when interior repairs and remodels come to play. We can handle it. From demolition and clean outs wich we make easy with our haul away dump trailers on fleet. To complete reframe, insulation, mold treatments, drywall, tile , and any other home and finish work. We also handle commercial and are able to pull our required city permits if need to. Pluming and electrical is on our list as well. Not to mention all Exterior work from gutter cleaning to complete roof replacements. Just ask. Were here to help. And our prices our extremely fair. Call us for a free estimate. we are licensed and insured upon request. You won't be disappointed.

"Very poor communication, everthing was done via messages including proposal. This company actually sub contracted the work to another contractor who said the same thing about Mac's communication about the work. counters had no edging ,so they had to come back out and remove the countertops to trim/shave them in the front lawn. Sink was put in but that was it. I was told all plumbing would be included yet there were no strainers installed nor drain piping. i wound up having to finish the job up myself. I saved about $1k but had i known it was going to be such a nightmare i would have gladly paid more, as the saying goes "You get what u pay for" I will never refer this company to anyone!!!!!"

Eco Build Co. is an eco-friendly construction company that takes a responsible approach to build new structures and renovations on existing ones. We use energy-efficient materials and technics with lower carbon footprints, among many other sustainable resources including super insulation, heat recovery ventilation, combined with the latest in environmentally-friendly methodologies so our clients and city can be free of pollutants. For our clients, we build a healthier home with constant fresh air and overall more comfortable and lower utility bills. For the community, it means less waste and harmful materials introduced into our environment.

"I hired EcoBuild to work on two projects. The first project was smaller and Mike the carpenter came out and did a wonderful job. He was pleasant and you could tell he was experienced. Normally when I have a good experience, then a bad experience, reviews are balanced out. I know things happen and generally I give the company the benefit of the doubt. However, in this case, EcoBuild’s behavior and performance was so bad, nothing could bring it above 1 star. The company was hired to replace a window, install new drywall on a ceiling and wall and replace some trim. My initial project manager Jeff (who quit before everything went down hill) was responsive knowledgeable and very friendly. When Jeff left, everything started going down hill. My next project manager was Jeremy who was probably the worst person I have ever dealt with at a company in my entire life. For the weeks leading up to the project, getting a straight answer from him was impossible. I would ask him 3 or 4 questions and consider myself lucky if he half replied to one of them. In no less than 10 attempts I could never get a confirmation whether the correct window was ordered. It got so bad that just before work was to begin, I called the company and said I would cancel the project if he was my project manager any longer. Jeff came out and said Mike would take over. Mike is a nice person but very overwhelmed. I can only imagine it is due to conducting damage control for shoddy work. On the first day, the crew showed up without a window. In fact, they didn’t have any materials or even a truck to carry materials. They left for Home Depot and several hours later showed up with the materials strapped to the roof of a SUV. I was very busy with meetings that day so the crew installed the drywall and I didn’t give it a detailed look until they left. I was in shock! There wasn’t a single full sheet! They cut every piece of drywall and there were gaps that ranged between 1/2” to over 1 inch between the sheets and the walls. They actually cut the drywall around the baseboard trim rather than removing it! Clearly the crew had never hung drywall before. Ultimately, I had them remove all of the drywall; no amount of taping and muding was going to make that look good. The window was the only remaining item and I was hesitant on even having them do that work, but they agreed to send Mike (the previous carpenter) out to install it. As mentioned earlier, I still didn’t have confirmation it was the right window. The next day Mike showed up with… you guessed it Jeremy. Mike was pleasant as usual and just before demo was to begin I asked to confirm the correct window was ordered. We walked downstairs. The window was in Jermey’s truck so I walked over while Mike did something else. To my surprise, Jeremy said “stay the **** away from my truck.” That was the final straw. I asked them to leave after a very heated screaming match in the middle of the parking lot. Management Is totally inept and made no effort to reach out despite several calls and emails describing my bad experience. I suspect there must be so many that there just isn’t time to address all the complaints. I still haven’t received my money back. Not only is this company totally incompetent, but I classify them as thieves for stealing my money. At best, they must be hiring their labor off the street without any reference checks. At worst, this is their regular crew. If you want to take a risk and hire them, at least insist you make the deposit on a credit card so you can dispute it."

Insulation services FAQs

When choosing a professional insulation installer, consider asking these questions to determine the best fit.

  • Will you address air leaks in my house?

  • Can you provide an R-value (heat resistance) fact sheet?

  • What kind of insulation will work best for my home?

  • How do you handle signs of a water leak?

  • Are you licensed and insured?

  • Can you provide customer references?

The best type of insulation for your home depends on what you need, so the answer will depend on your specific situation. If you’re building a house, structural panels are easy to install during the building process in addition to being the most energy efficient type. If you live in a warm climate, reflective insulation may benefit you more as it costs less than other insulation types. And for standard attics, loose-fill, spray foam, or blown-in insulation work well.

If you plan to heat or cool your garage, you’ll need to insulate the garage ceiling. Insulating your garage ceiling will make your garage much more energy efficient and save on heating and cooling costs. Not only does insulation make your garage more energy efficient, it helps reduce noise and can extend the life of your garage roof. You can use fiberglass, cellulose, mineral wool, or spray foam insulation for this project.

In some cases, you may not have enough insulation to properly regulate your home’s temperature. Watch for a few signs your home needs more insulation, such as:

  • High heating and cooling bills

  • Uncomfortable room temperatures

  • Ice dams on the edge of your roof

  • Roof leaks

  • Cold floors and walls

  • Freezing pipes

  • Temperature fluctuations

  • Visibly low insulation

  • Noise problems

  • Pest problems

On average, insulating an attic costs about $2,500, ranging from $1,500 to $3,500, depending on the insulation type, amount, and your attic’s accessibility. Additional cost factors include sealing air leaks, removal or replacement of insulation, and inspections. Types of insulation include:

  • Blown-in: $1–$4 per square foot

  • Spray foam: $2–$5 per square foot

  • Batt: $2–$4 per square foot

  • Structural insulated panels: $4–$7 per square foot

  • Loose-fill: $2–$5 per square foot

  • Reflective: $0.50–$1.50 per square foot
