"Avoid this company at all cost. Budget Blinds of Cheyenne is a shady company. I've had nothing but problems. I don't trust this company. For the installation they sent non insured installers to my home. I believe they where friends and family of the owner. They had no name tags, shirts, or anything to say they represent the company. I had 3 individuals enter my home 2 gentlemen and 1 older lady (maybe in her 60's). So I did questions them about their employment with the company. The answer I got was; "Im only here to install your blinds" from one gentlemen. The other said "Im only here with him". The lady wasnt asked. No 60's year old lady is going to operate a hand drill and climb on a ladder to install my blinds. They were turned away due to a liability risk. I told them i would contact the owner of the company to verify employment. I was then email'd by the owner to contact his attorney. The job was never completed. I had blinds mis-measured for windows. Stay far, far way from Budget Blinds of Cheyenne. Don't let other reviews fool you. in business for 13 year, but only a hand full of reviews. Better off going to Lowes or Home Depot for blinds. Ill gladly change review when my issue is fixed."

Window Tinting questions, answered by experts

If you have bubble wrap lying around the house and you don’t care about the odd look, taping bubble wrap over a window is a very affordable way to insulate it. Another inexpensive option for insulating windows is to add new caulk around the glass. This step quickly cuts down on air drafts for older windows, and a tube of caulk only costs a few dollars. Adding plastic shrink film around the glass is another cost-effective option. You can purchase a kit of plastic film for a few dollars per window.

Home window tinting is usually worth the investment because it reduces the amount of solar heat that enters through your window glass, thereby reducing the cost of cooling your home in the warmer months. Over the lifespan of your tinted windows, your electric bill savings will likely total more than you spend on your window tinting. Additionally, tinting protects your floors and furniture from harmful UV rays from the sun, so the window tint can extend the life of those items, saving you money over time. Lastly, tinting adds to your home's privacy and can help increase security.

Tinted window films for houses are usually made from a micro-thin sheet of thermoplastic resin called polyethylene terephthalate (PET) that offers the strength and flexibility needed when fitting film to a window. Homeowners looking for a solution that insulates a window without blocking light from a home should investigate low-e glass vs. window film.

The most energy-efficient windows are double—or triple-pane windows with low-emissivity (Low-E) coatings and gas fills between the panes. These windows reduce heat transfer, prevent drafts, and help maintain a consistent indoor temperature. But if replacing windows isn’t in your budget, pairing your existing windows with insulating window treatments can still make a noticeable difference in home comfort and monthly bills.

Yes, you can remove window tint from house windows. You can either use heat to loosen the film before peeling or scrape it away with a blade. You’ll also use a solution to wipe away any adhesive that still clings to the window.
