"Ken was fantastic from start to finish. I hired him to remove an old basketball hoop, pour new cement, and install a new one. The job turned out to be much tougher than expected—the old cement was nearly impossible to break up and the clay ground was hard to dig deeper for the required dept —but Ken handled it like a pro, using a jackhammer and digging through hard clay soil without complaint. Despite the extra work and materials needed, he stuck to his original price even when I asked to pay him more, which speaks volumes about his integrity. He returned a few days later to assemble the hoop, and the final result was perfect—every measurement was spot-on. Ken went above and beyond, and I wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again. "Truly a full-service company - we just had our 6th project completed by Closets by Design last week. Our installer, Jake, did a fantastic job, taking his time to make cut outs for the outlets. When the project was completed, he made a recommendation that we have a trim piece along the desk. Our house is over 100 years old and the floors and walls are uneven (especially in the corner where we had this desk placed). He discussed options, placed the order, and had another tech come out today (the next business day) to install the trim piece. It was the perfect finishing touch and we could not be happier with how this project turned out. We had intiially ordered a desk from a furniture company, but the shelf and drawer sizes were all wrong and some of the drawers didn't open all the way. Closets by Design gave us the option to purchase a truly custom desk."

"I would give zero stars if I could. This company is absolutely terrible. ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A SMALL MOVE, DO NOT BOOK HERE! I had a small move (approx. a studio apartment’s worth) from PA to OH and booked my move over a month ahead of time. I was told that since I had a small move, my stuff would have to go on a truck with a larger shipment - understandable. They gave me the “standard” 3-week delivery window, but I was told by Luke that they would “work with me on dates” and that they would have “no problem getting it there within a week”, most likely 1-3 days. Those were complete lies. I also tried to be as flexible as possible and gave them multiple options for days for pickup. As the weeks went by and it got closer to my moving date, I periodically asked for updates on dates. I got no answers. One week away from when I was supposed to move, I still didn’t have any idea when my stuff would be picked up or delivered. All Luke would tell me was “no update yet”. At this point, I had to scramble last-minute to book a different company. LESS THAN ONE WEEK before my move, I cancelled with Allied and only AFTER CANCELING did they FINALLY give me POTENTIAL dates. Terrible communication and customer service. Book somewhere else!"

Last winter we had our bathroom remodeled to more appropriately accommodate me in my recovery process and moving forward from several strokes. We had a rep come out to give us a quote based on what we wanted/would need and after some convincing and offering of discounts, we settled on a price and worked out a loan agreement to get it done. The project was to turn our bathtub in our main bathroom into a standing shower with a grab bar to allow for ease of entry and exit for myself, plus a wider vanity to allow for both myself and my wife to use the sink at the same time. We also opted to replace the flooring, which was tile, to a vinyl that became less cool and easy to walk on. We picked out the design and style with the rep who's name I don't remember, and set a date for everything to be done. The first issue after the fact that we noticed, was that the wrong vanity had been installed. When this issue was raised, the solution was to reimburse us for part of the installation because that seemed easier at the time. Fine. Everything else seemed to be ok, so we let it go and moved on. Fast forward to today, we had a drainage issue with that shower stall and called a plumber to address the issue. In the process of doing that, he discovered that the pipe for the shower drain, which had been moved from its original placement on the initial install, had not only been installed incorrectly, but had been sealed improperly and now that the seal has begun to erode away is causing a small (for now) leak. We now have a quote for an exploration into the problem where the other company will have to open up part of the celling in the basement in order to assess the issue and determine a correct fix. That this problem exists in the first place is unacceptable and we are frankly livid with the matter."
