"Tony is great. He replaced our backsplash, installed new kitchen and family room tile. He did a great job and was very neat. We are very happy and I have several other projects that I will hire him for."

"Great job. The remodel was done before the schedule. It turned out very nice. Matt also helped pick out flooring and tile that worked perfect for the bathroom."

Customers say: Quality work

"Tony was very friendly in helping me quote my project and recommend tile shops. He was a bit difficult to get scheduled to do the work, but once he made the time for my project and started the work he did an amazing job. My kitchen backsplash was chevron and had many cuts to do during the install and everything turned out beautiful."

"Needed to get our insulation and plaster fixed in our garage due to one of the pipes bursting during the winter vortex. Super professional and loved the work that he had done to the garage. Will hire him again if work ever needs to get done."

"A class job done as if my house was their own. I had provided the tiles for the shower, The tiles were somewhat peculiar but they made it work and the result is simply wonderful. Great precision and care in the workmanship. The job lasted a little longer then expected but I was kept in the loop as often as needed. This company has very skilled workers and Gordon is very customer service oriented. Would hire them again immediately."

Small jobs welcome

"Mike and his partner installed grab bars and a shower curtain rod in a bathroom and a ceiling fan in a bedroom. They did excellent work, got it done quickly, and the price was reasonable. I would definitely hire them again for similar work or even larger, more complicated projects. I was very satisfied with their work and professionalism."

"Gordon and his crew did an awesome job on finishing our basement. Gordon came out in a timely fashion and gave us a quote for the work we desires. He was upfront about costs and options, including what he provided and what he did not provide. The team completed a bathroom, bedroom, office area and large family room in our unfinished lower level. He gave us exact instructions for what materials we needed to purchase and a time line for getting them. They worked on all aspects of the remodel, including plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry (doors/baseboards),tile work, and more. They do install hardwood/laminate, but we went with carpet which we purchased and had installed separately. The finished project turned out fabulously! Gordon even supplied a cleaning after the remodel was complete. We would recommend GR contracting for your remodeling needs."

"I had old timber walls removed & new ones installed. New plantiings, trees and mulch. All the workmen that Flirian & Ernin brought to my job worked very hard to give us a beautiful finished job. I would hire them again."

FAQs for backsplash installation projects in Somers, WI

The average cost of installing tile is around $2,000, ranging between $400 and $6,500, depending on the type of tile, square footage of tile, and whether or not your tiling contractor performs site preparation, like removing old tile. On average, you can expect to pay between $5 and $45 per square foot, largely depending on the type and quality of the tiles you choose. For example, ceramic and travertine tile cost about $1 per square foot, but luxury tile options like marble cost up to $350 per square foot, not including labor.

The cost of home remodeling is $50,000 for the average homeowner. However, this cost can range anywhere from $3,000 for a small project to $170,000 for a whole home remodel. Factors like project size, location, and room type all affect your overall cost. For example, bedroom remodeling costs are one of the least expensive projects, costing about $1,500 to $5,500 per bedroom. However, a kitchen remodel has a significant cost range, totaling anywhere from $14,500 to over $70,000.

Yes, most states require home remodeling contractors to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed home remodeling contractor could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

Tile will almost always last longer than laminate flooring, regardless of the type of tile installed. Porcelain tile can last for 75 years or more with proper care, and even less durable ceramic tile will last for 60 years or more, provided they’re installed by a tile professional. On the other hand, laminate flooring has an average lifespan of around 20 years, and you might only get 10 to 15 years out of low-cost laminate flooring. As such, tile will add far more value to your home than laminate.

The cost to install countertops is $3,105 on average. This project cost can range from $400 to $8,500, depending on the material, edging, and countertop size.

Laminate countertops are generally the most cost-efficient, ranging from $8 to $27 per square foot. On the other hand, slate countertops are considered more luxurious and range from $30 to $90 per square foot. There are also countertop materials priced between those two, including stainless steel, granite, Corian, and wood.
