The wrong cove was installed. Floor has a noticeable clump of dried glue at threshold, which is loose. When I called to have it corrected, company could not give a time or date when an installer would be out. They would they ti have us as first call. Eventually, the installer was sent back with the same color cove. He took pix to prove he was given incorrect cove again & stated the company was charging him for their mistake. On 10/13, we received a call stating that someone was in route and would be arriving in 20 minutes (no advance notice or call to see if we were available). There were 4 installers who stated that the install was not done correctly and that they could repair for $149 additional. When customer service was called, they stated no repair would take place because an additional $149 was owed. When asked how this was due, the company rep said that they had a signed contract for that amount. We only have a $877.99 contract but rep insists there is one for $1027. When asked why we did not get any request for this additional money owed at time of install completion, the rep stated we need to talk to bank. We asked for copy of the $1027 contract, but have yet to receive it.

Install guys were here on 7/20/22. They came after 3 p.m. and left after 10 p.m., Damaged hallway heat diffuser, and put a hammer hole in back side of bathroom door. Flooring was 4 inches short and was left as is. Called numerous times to customer service and was told they would be here again on Tuesday august 2nd--no one showed or called. I then called customer service and was told the installers ran into a problem and would be done at 7:30 p .m. I inquired once again and was told a new appt will be made, someone will call you on 8/3 to make yet another appt.....no one ever called. I did however finally contacted the franklin Wisconsin office about the damage claim, I was told to send pictures (which I did) and to get 3 estimates from handymen and send the lowest price to the franklin office. Needless to say I made numerous calls for this service without any luck. Most stated it is too small a job or they do not do that type of repair. Today 8/4/22 it has been 16 days and empire has not even one attempt to contact me--The job was for laminate flooring. I am a Army veteran and 77 years old---this has been a nightmare this company has put me thru so far. They finally did the repairs on 8/5/22. One person showed after 3 p.m. today but no one ever called to say someone would be here, just lucky we were home. Job finally done.

Shower they replaced looks incredible. Custimer service was fantastic as well. Came back out to fix a couple issues that came up ASAP and got it taken care of.

Product is great, service needs help.

Crazy expensive!

I like the work done as well as the prices. I am just not fond of high pressure sales tactics.

They were very professional. The type I originally chose was not the right one for my floors. They could have just put it in and left. They didn't do that. They explained why the flooring I chose would not work for me and worked with me to get a floor that would work in my home. I absolutely love the floors and will highly recommend Empire Today.

What the salesman showed us and described was not what we got and the men who were installing the carpet did not understand so they had to call the office for me to speak to. Point is that the people who were here doing the job and the man who was on the phone was not here. Not thrilled but we are glad that we are done with the job. Could have been worse.

EXPERT GUY INSTALLED, FAST AND CLEAN

Everything turned out to my satisfaction but project nearly didn t happen because the 1st crew refused to do the work needed. Empire s customer service was a joke. The sales rep had to intervene to make the job happen. Project was delayed by days. Got a new crew, then everything went smoothly.

Be careful of the price quote. They quoted one price then charged an additional $700 once the installers arrived. They charge a 10% deposit that you lose if you cancel the installation. It was hard communicating with the installers because they didn't speak English. Overall terrible experience.

Was very helpful but recommended a different way to fix which I did not expect.

I have never gone out of my way to write a negative review for anything but this service was so atrocious that I do not want anyone else to have to experience it. If I could give this company less than one star, I would. Our experience with them was a complete disaster pretty much from start to finish. We are finishing our basement and used Empire to put in vinyl flooring in a small portion of the room and carpet in the rest. Given that they are a flooring company, this did not seem like it should be a complicated task. In the end, it took over a month and a half for the job to be fully completed. The first employee who came out to install the vinyl portion told us that our floor was too uneven and he would have to sand the concrete down (something for which we were not quoted), then, this process took him most of the day and at the end, he did not even install the transition piece (something that, at the time, did not seem like a big deal). Then, the carpet people came. At first, it seemed like everything went well until my husband noticed a wet spot on one of our walls accompanied by a dent. Turns out that they damaged the wall and tried to patch it themselves without telling us. When we called to file a complaint about this (considering we were told if any damage was done, we would be reimbursed for whatever the cost is to fix it), we were told that someone would contact us within 24-48 hours. Yeah, still waiting on that call. Then, we needed someone to come back to install a transition piece between the vinyl and carpet. We assumed that this would be a job should be pretty standard and there should be no discrepancies about how to go about installing a transition piece when flooring is literally all that they do. Unfortunately for us, that was an inaccurate, to put it mildly, assumption for us to make. The first crew they sent never showed. The second crew they sent were the wrong flooring people. The third crew said they could only do so much then the carpet people had to come back to finish it. The fourth crew said there was nothing more they could do and that a vinyl worker had to come back to fix it. Finally, the FIFTH crew was able to get the job done (keep in mind that when they schedule a service with you, they expect you to be available ALL day and their robo-call to alert you of the installers arrival is not just misleading but is, in fact, a blatant lie). Meanwhile, as all of this is going on, we have filed multiple complaints and have been promised by multiple people that our complaints are listed at the --highest priority-- and a manager will contact us. Again, still waiting on that call. At one point, a customer service representative even claimed that the manager called, left a voicemail, and because they never heard back from me, they had closed the complaint--that voicemail never existed. Needless to say, I will never use this company again and want to make sure that as many people as possible avoid their services again. It was a complete and utter nightmare.
