"It went great! The crew that did the work were diligent and professional, polite and courteous, respectable to me personally, to my home. They did a great job of cleaning everything up when the job was done. We had a couple of little kinks. They were taken care of quickly with apologies. The completed new bathroom is even more beautiful than I could have anticipated. Gorden was easy to work with. He explained everything and helped with decisions. He is respected by his crew. "Very organized. As a working parent in a household with small children, Matrix’s process was very smooth. Once permits were approved, building moved according to the quoted timeline. We appreciated the app that kept homeowners in the loop about who would be on site on a given day and what was being done. Project oversight was very good. Our project manager was very responsive to our questions/concerns and a helpful go-between with the sub-contractors and inspectors."

"Good work in general; our basement no longer sees water for over 3 years now, which is the most important thing. But there were some real issues: The biggest issue is that USW did not adhere to local electrical codes, and did not arrange for a final inspection of the project. So we didn't find out that it wasn't to code until years later, and now it's a big hassle and minor cost to fix and get the permits. Ask your local gov yourself what you need to do for permits and inspections; don't rely on USW! USW said they would seal any foundation cracks found along the way; they didn't do this until I bugged the warranty dept about it (but they did do it eventually). USW sent someone out for the "annual checkup"... over 2 years after the install. It's a good thing they (eventually) did, because they discovered the backup battery wasn't charging. Now I know to check this stuff better myself. Prices also vary wildly and are kind of negotiable (I'd give more detail but I'm out of space)"

When I called the company, I reached Gordon directly, and he was able to stop by the next morning, right at the time we scheduled. He was very helpful in explaining what I was seeing. He didn't charge me anything for the very helpful visit."

"Joe and his team were the first to respond after the Milwaukee floods happened in August 2025. Him and his team went above and beyond to clear out all of the debris in the basement, fully cleaned the basement, and applied mold remediation to the wooden beams. They also fully rebuilt our stairs and removed and replaced our egress window. Thank you so much Joe and team!"

"We had a small leak that only happened in severe rainstorms. Instead of diagnosing this problem the salesperson wa ted to sell us their complete system. They painted a picture of a poorly constructed basement with many problems. We resisted but finally agreed this was s mistake, because the only problem found after tearing up our basement was a dead sump pump and maybe extra weep holes could have been put in the crock. The original basement drainage system was correctly installed to code. Now our perfect basement floor has permanent scars and we are still fighting the concrete dust leftover from the project. The workers also damaged our vinyl siding and stained it with some type of solvent when cleaning areas that were marred during work. They are probably solve severe basement problems, but we were definitely “oversold”. We made a regrettable error in trusting their expertise."

"All of these 5 star reviews got dumped on the Angi page, dated 2/2024. All show shiny basements & what appears to be excellent work & reviews claiming excellent communication. It's how I came about the referral - as well as their Facebook ads. Not sure if they bit off more than they could chew, but communication has been awful if not non-existent. The home visit seemed great! But I had to email them for the quote afterwords. Then a visit to the showroom a month later was dirty, plant dirt lying around, no bathroom available to the customers, giant weeds outside of the building they purchased. If you're presenting yourself as professional contractors, appearance of a showroom where you host customers is a reflection of your work. I didn't hear from them in over 4 wks. I emailed & was met with an excuse & zero delivery of promise for final proposal. We are taking our business elsewhere. We just wasted 3 months for nothing."
