"Shawn was very helpful and knowledgeable. However, the fees for the services were excessively high given no electrical work was needed to mount my TV."

"Andiry came out a couple of times.  I finally decided to do concrete (I had been debating on whether to replace with landscaping blocks).  its about 40 feet long, 3 feet wide, needed to be pitched correctly, and the old walkway had to come out.  Andiry came out on a Saturday (on time) to write the contract, and started work 2 days later.  It was done 5 days later.  It looks great, and the work site was cleaned up.  there is a bit of a language barrier, but it's easy to work through.

"Adam and Pat do amazing work. They have been doing any work on the house we need for many years now. Most recently they fixed an internal sliding door which came off its tracks as well as installing handrails on the outside steps of our house. We would highly recommend Adam and Pat for any jobs you need completed."

"Jeff arrived early for our appointment and was ready to get to work immediately.  He was pleasant, knowledgeable and worked quickly and efficiently. The whole process of installing mounts for a 60" flat panel television and wireless sound bar took less than an hour, including relocating the television mount to a different position on the wall (at my request, no mistake on Jeff's part). I plan to use J B Home Improvements in the near future for other home improvement tasks, and I feel confident that Jeff will be able to accomplish them as expertly as he did this service."

Tv Mount Install questions, answered by experts

If you don’t have studs in the area where you want to install your TV mount, you may still be able to install a TV mount on drywall. The easiest way to install a mount on drywall is by using drywall anchors—but not just any plastic anchors. Choose molly bolts or toggle anchors, which have a weight capacity of around 50 pounds. For added support, consider pairing drywall anchors with a wall mounting plate. Extra heavy TVs may need to be mounted via the ceiling joists or beams.

It’s highly recommended to use studs for a TV mount. The last thing you want is to be watching your favorite show when the TV falls off the wall. Studs are much stronger than drywall and quite a bit stronger than drywall anchors but, if you can’t find the studs or there simply aren’t any where you need them, you can use drywall anchors. It’s extremely important to make sure the anchors are rated for the load of the TV. We recommend using anchors that are rated far beyond the weight of whatever you’re hanging. Our suggestion is metal drywall toggle anchors.

The shorter the coaxial cable, the better. The further you run the cable, the more signal loss you'll experience. At 50 feet, you'll see significant signal loss, and by 100 feet, you'll experience at least a 30% drop in signal strength.

Fire and electronics typically don't mix, but that doesn't mean you can't mount your TV on a brick fireplace. However, you should proceed with caution. If you do not use your fireplace regularly, you can be assured that your TV will remain undamaged. However, if you do take advantage of it, be aware that hot air, containing soot, will travel upwards. Even with the flue fully open, the temperature above the fireplace can still get very high.

As with any service provider, it’s customary to tip professional TV mounters after they complete your TV mounting service. Consider tipping 20% of the service cost, or $10 to $20 per professional. Tipping is always appreciated, especially for a labor-intensive mounting job or one that requires multiple people and hours.
