"Ken was fantastic from start to finish. I hired him to remove an old basketball hoop, pour new cement, and install a new one. The job turned out to be much tougher than expected—the old cement was nearly impossible to break up and the clay ground was hard to dig deeper for the required dept —but Ken handled it like a pro, using a jackhammer and digging through hard clay soil without complaint. Despite the extra work and materials needed, he stuck to his original price even when I asked to pay him more, which speaks volumes about his integrity. He returned a few days later to assemble the hoop, and the final result was perfect—every measurement was spot-on. Ken went above and beyond, and I wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again. "MAE Contractors did a terrible job! The workmanship was so horrible that Mike Garcia tore up his own floor, and did so much damage to my home. He quoted me $2,000, then after he tore up my floor, pointed out flaws that he mysteriously hadn't seen previously. Now the price magically jumped to $4,000. CASH, CASH, CASH payment up front - CASH! No written estimate, no written contract, no written warranty, then wanted more money later. What was I going to do? I had no floor, and no one else would clean up this mess. The workmanship was awful, he has no flooring experience ? not listed on ANGI anyway. After I complained about his work, he walked off the job claiming that he would be trespassing. I had to beg him to return and then, three months later, he tears up his own work anyway. He took no accountability, and never apologized for three months of headache. Irresponsible. Maybe offer a FAIRER reimbursement Mike? Are you seriously thinking of hiring this guy? Really? "
