"Total Textures responded to my inquiry very quickly - within hours. Chad came out to look at the project and give me an estimate within 3 days of us speaking on the phone. The work was completed in less than 1 week after he came out. I was very pleased with the quality of work and the entire experience with Total Textures! I will use them again for EIFS work."

"Once the work was scheduled, everything went well. They were prompt and efficient. Great job of cleaning the work area after each day. The color of the mortar matched the exsisting mortar and quality seemed good."

"They were difficult to get in touch with, as it seemed many people bought the deal.  They finally contacted me via email and then I called once or twice to find out when they could come.  They did come on the date they said they would.  The guys put the bricks back together.  It was done okay, a little lopsided, but I know the deal was only for I believe 4 hours of work, so they did not have a lot of time.  It is fixed, not falling down and hopefully will last.

"Found Newstar Painting, Inc. by using a search of BBB companies. I contacted him for an estimate. After going over all the details with Chris we agreed on an adjusted price. Old painted surfaces were scraped and sanded (hand and power) and spot primed. Chris also agreed to replace 4 windows in my overhead garage door with solid wood. There were a few rain delays, but the job was done timely. Chris also made some professional suggestions on painting the trim and was "right-on" in choosing a perfect color match. He was professional at all times, and I felt he was someone I could trust at my home when I wasn't there. He was neat and always picked up after himself after each visit."

Stucco questions, answered by experts

If contractors discover water damage, rot, or mold beneath the stucco, additional repairs will be necessary. These repairs can increase your total project cost and timeline, but addressing them promptly is essential for your home’s structural integrity. Ignoring hidden damage can lead to more severe issues and higher costs in the future.

Yes, you can screw directly into stucco. Only do so if the item you are installing is a permanent fixture. Drill a pilot hole into the stucco using a masonry or concrete bit, then drive in the screw with a power drill or screwdriver.

Cracks, discoloration, and moisture intrusion often indicate necessary repairs.

Neutral colors like white, tan, beige, and light brown are the most popular stucco colors. Natural stucco has a grayish color due to the high concentration of Portland cement in the material, but most homeowners have their contractors add pigments to create a more inviting appearance. Stucco is most popular in hotter climates, where it provides ample insulation to regulate interior temperatures and keep the solar heat out. Since lighter colors reflect more sunlight, lighter stucco is more prevalent.

The best tape that works on stucco is the kind made explicitly for stucco surfaces. Look for tape that specifies stucco, masonry, or cement installations. The adhesive usually needs to be thicker and more durable to remain stuck to these rough surfaces.
