Anthony never sent me a contract to sign for the sealcoating job for my driveway. He indicated he would complete the job yesterday. There was a delay getting one of the materials for my job, so I agreed that he could complete it today. I previously told him the job had to be done in a specific timeframe while my husband was in the hospital. The driveway had to be finished by the time I brought him home from the hospital. Today he texted me late morning to tell me he could not complete the job today. He and his wife were watching their newborn grandchild last night and he did not get much sleep. I talked to him around 1:30 pm and told him this was not an acceptable reason to postpone my job. He had indicated that he was just giving his son and daughter-in-law a break, so this was not a family emergency. I canceled the job since he never received a signed contract from me. He had the nerve to text me later to see if I would reconsider for a lower price.

I requested that the seal coating job for my driveway be completed on a specific day or the next day at the latest. I have a very large driveway, so it was a big job. On Wednesday, Anthony was unable to get the filler for the cracks in my driveway until later in the day. He said he would complete the job today. He sent a text around 11:30 that indicated he was delayed but I had the impression he was still planning to do the job. About 45 minutes later I had another text that he could not do the job today. His excuse was that his son and daughter-in-law have a newborn baby and needed a break for the night, so he and his wife took the baby. Because he did not get much sleep, he postponed my job. He never sent me the contract to sign in advance, so I canceled the job with him. On the phone, he was talking about the importance of family. "I apoligize once again you mentioned it was not a family emergency it was not life threatening but it was severe enough when your kids really needs you and there is a one week old baby that needs baby sitting what are the grandparents to do reject the help sorry but I was raised with morals that family is number 1 priority seal coaters make sure you get a signed contract from Laura or you may end up with lost job and a bad review if a unusual circumstance happens that pushes you against a wall"

"Anthony" viewed, measured, and quoted job in advance. Came back on the scheduled day but did not get started until almost noon. Job day started with Two different excuses by text why they could not get started till later in the day (Red Flags #1 & #2). Which resulted in them working into the night darkness. Then asked me to inspect job with a Flashlight....Red flag #3. Appears to be nice enough people, but limited on work effort IMO. Paid full price, no great deal for me. But I did not want nor have time to deal with anything. Business has not acknowledged they have been paid in full already as requested. Thought them being tied into Angie's list was a secure position, wrong....last time I pay in advance. I did this work in my youth, so know exactly how this job should have been completed, in one day, easily. Bad planning, bad execution, big waste of my time and effort. (going on 30 days, if they complete it) Latest claim is 2nd coat is delayed due to death in the family, but they claim/plan to complete the week of 9/1/25.

"The only problem with the job is you have small pigments all over your driveway that shows specks of white I told you I would give you a spray coat free of charge on top of the squeegee application you requested I also notified you of the passing of my mom but you still contacted me knowing I was attending a funeral asking what is my plan when we already discussed it I also let it you know I was back and I would get things ready after a day or 2 of rest yes I am still doing the extra coat for u"

Ray called quickly upon getting our request and we scheduled a time to meet and go over our driveway status. Estimate came in less than what I was expecting and they did a good job sealing some cracks and applying two coats of sealant. Ray is a Christian family man working long hours and striving to teach his son the business. It was a pleasure to get to know him briefly. I will definitely be going back to him in a few years when my driveway needs another seal coating.

Anthony Ray asphalt sealed my neighbor's driveway, and I hired him to do ours because it looked pretty nice. However, when he sealed MY driveway, we were left with significant asphalt spray on our concrete foundation and on our garage doors. I contacted him when I first noticed it, after we were allowed back on the driveway. He took no responsibility for the spray. He said he would come and take a look, but he never showed up. He told me multiple times he would be there within the week and he was researching how to get it off our house. He never showed up. Now we have asphalt spray all over our house and garage doors. He said it was weather/rain or something, but "not his fault" despite the fact that there were weather report about rain coming in the days following when he performed the service. If he was aware that weather might cause this kind of damage, then why wouldn't he wait to perform the service? I am not sure if it was weather or failure to pay attention while performing the service, but our house looks awful. Anthony Ray has not yet demonstrated to us that he is focused on customer satisfaction. He said he does not even know how to get it off. How can this be his specialty if he does not know how to remove it when something goes wrong? I'm still holding out home he'll do the right thing and fix this, but he is no longer responding to me or my husband, and we have been extremely understanding and nice about the whole thing. I have photos of how horrible our house looks so you can see for yourselves, but I do not see a way to share them on here.

"hi Emily, all reviews are appreciated good ones and bad ones, but I do need to clear a few things up, first I never said I don't know how to take it off, my response was I will research the best way to take it off without damaging the paint on the garage door, I also said the small area off the house would need to be repainted, the problem occurred due to a unexpected rain shower later that day, not something I physically done, and when I said I would be there to fix the problem you wrote me back and said please don't you took to long, there are some things we have no control over, especially nature, let me set a example, if I purchase a new"

I was introduced to Anthony Ray and his company by a neighbor. I quickly learned that my neighbor's favorable comments were justified. After telling Anthony what I wanted to achieve, he took the time to educate me on his proposed solution and helped me explore the pros & cons of other options. His proposed solution, which include hot crack filling, exceeded my expectations. When it came time to schedule the work, he was very flexible and helped me "thread the needle" to meet my schedule. All of this customer service at a very fair price. This family-based company showed up to work with the equipment necessary to do the job right. I will use Ray's Seal Coating again.
