"Excellent service, flexible for afternoon estmates, and reasonable cost. Two workers took down my old wood fence and had a beautiful tall fence up in one day! It was a pleasure to discuss the project with them."

"I hired them to install a fence to match my neighbors existing fence. The existing fence was installed by a company called Clover. The attention to detail and perfection exhibited by Nimmer Co out shines the other company by miles. They took great care not to destroy my grass by placing plywood down as they drive their equipment around. I wish I could post comparison photos but the dumb site only allows for 5mb worth of pictures. So here is one showing how straight the fence is. Look how perfectly in line that is."

"Great! They spent 2 days repairing a poor roofing job that lead to our leaking and a several nests of wasps invading house. They also did a great job cleaning our gutters this spring.

They will be returning next spring for another issue we need addressed.

We were very happy with this company, Ben is very easy to talk with.

"It was a great experience.  Nick is very respectful and courteous, listened to my requests, explained what he felt would or wouldn't work based on my yard.  I love the plants that he chose, as he paid attention to not only the colors, but the hardiness, the amount of work needed to care for them, and the seasonal colors they would turn. He and his workers really function as a team...they have known each other a long time and work incredibly hard.  I asked a lot of questions, and he/they  took the time to explain everything to me patiently.  Nick and his team came out several times to fix my fence, and to do the prep work for the installation.  Although the work happened at a busy time of year, he and his team made time to get things done properly.  The day of the installation went by very quickly, and everything was done in short order.  They cleaned up and it looked beautiful after.  What is really impressive is that Nick and his team seem to love the natural things they work with, and want it done properly.  Nick even threw in some extra work along one part of my fence, simply because he felt it needed to be done aesthetically, and did not charge me for it.  This was a difficult summer for new plants, and several of the ones he installed didn't do well.  I called and he offered advice for caring for them, and when they died, he sent his team out to install new ones.  He backs up the word that he gives.  I would not hesitate on recommending this company to anyone.  I actually plan to use them again next year to finish up other parts of my yard.  His prices are very fair, and I felt the quality was good.  I love my yard now.

"They cooked our Thanksgiving dinner, helped arrange parties, and have done house sitting for us. That is how I originally found them on Angies List; I was looking for a house sitter while we went on vacation for three weeks. They have arranged exterior concreting for me. I talk to them and do not have to deal with the sub-contractor. They have done some light interior, carpentry, and plumbing. They arranged for the people to come in and install a light for me. I do not use them as a general contractor. I use them for when I need something done I call Loretta and she will call the sub-contractors and then call me back and tell me the price."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

When considering how much of a gap should be under a fence or gate, a good rule of thumb is to keep gaps between 2 and 5 inches tall. This allows for some ground clearance for the gate but still provides safety for children and pets, who shouldn’t be able to squeeze through a gap of that size.

Costs depend on material, labor, and additional features like gates or decorative elements.

The recommended height for a garden fence depends on its primary purpose. For pest control, the necessary height varies by animal. To keep out small pests like rabbits, a fence should be at least two to three feet tall. If you live in an area with deer, you will need a much taller fence, at least five feet high, to prevent them from jumping over. If the main goal is privacy, the fence should be at least seven feet tall. For purely decorative fences, the height is a matter of personal preference.

Costs depend on material quality, fence length and height, installation complexity, and customization choices, but they average $20-$40 per linear foot.

Rust, bent panels, loose posts, and broken welds often require repair.
