"S & S Painting & Restoration did a great job. Once we were scheduled They contacted us as to the start date & came out to pressure wash our roof, which they completed in one day.. when the weather was right, they came out to apply the primer & 2 top coats to our roof. They also completed it in one day. We have a large farmhouse with a 2 story metal roof with a few different pitches & levels of roof. They were very professional & meticulous in the spraying of the paint. I would recommend their services to anyone looking for a painting company. We have another couple of buildings that we will be scheduling for next spring. We are very satisfied with their work!"

I have hands-on experience with drywall, demolition, plastering, concrete work, siding, trim, window and door installation, and general construction assistance. Many homeowners choose to install tongue and groove over drywall. The great thing about this type of ceiling is that it hides imperfections. If your drywall is a little bit wonky or has some minor damage, the tongue and groove planks should cover it and give it an even appearance. Installation is simplest if you install battens over the existing framing before installing your tongue and groove planks.

Only use spackle on plaster walls when the imperfection is small. It’s best used for nail holes or small dings in the plaster. Spackle dries quickly, allowing you to continue the repair process shortly after using it. Plaster can be tricky to repair, though, so if you run into issues, call a pro so that you don’t risk further damage.

Brick and stucco are a lot more different. You must use picture hanging clips designed for brick walls, or use a plaster rail system with adjustable hooks. Any other type of hanging hardware will cause damage to the bricks behind. You won’t be able to really use nails, either, because they’re not strong enough to go into the bricks.

It doesn’t matter which way you lay drywall, and you can choose to install it horizontally or vertically depending on the size of the wall and how tall the ceiling is.
